ashamed that i would not be able to read the urdu version with such fluency as in english, however, very beautifully written, yet eerie.

this was a great story, one that i so impressed by that i actually felt i should reply to. the imagery of the chord in the beginning of the story really interested me. i always love it when i realize people have a moment of insight in something that i don`t necessarily see in everyday things. thanks.

Very well written. However, translation has left its bitter marks, especially towards the end.

This story was inspired by similar true
stories of the horrors commited during Zia-ul-Haq`s martial-law in Pakistan.
However this human situation can apply to any society where solitary confinement is considered
a ``humane`` punishment, and is utilized often without realizing the psychological horrors that it wrecks. (Not that I specifically want to point
out Pakistan or even USA for that matter).

Amar Saeen, I enjoyed the Urdu version more than this one. Hope to get together soon for another ``baithak``
