Kaleidoscope

Here is how I felt around 10 years ago.....

Then I was a star

Twinkling up so high

Shimmering and glowing.....

All acknowledged then

In a hushed silence..

The cricket croaked it too;

The moon encircled me

In her half embrace,

The silver light lit me up

To glow in supremacy....

But the sun came too soon,

Or did it go away?

That I so suddenly

Fell onto the ground.

Though fall I did

I landed up nowhere....

Then I was a bud

So tightly closed up,

The bee encircled me

And buzzed to me to open...

And keen nights followed

The eagerly tired days

To coax me out of my shell.

I had no halo

Of my own around,

As borrowed light burnt me

And pierced in a bit too deep....

Then I was a memory

Kept aglow and bright

Or stabbed with the ashes?

The breeze encircled me

And with it took me away.....

as the editor of pakistans largest daily puts it ``ok child, but there`s no meat on the bone``.
