istar: good attempt yaar. maybe i`ll give my agent Polly a call to set you up with a publication of sorts. we definately need more phenomenal users of the overlooked adjective in this day and age. Thanks for being so co-operative and good natured about it.

J: hehe..no..not you. i just liked the psychopathic imagery you have in your work at times. glad you liked it.
i think the poem is exclusive about who it clicks with. its all about the clicks. most people dont seem to like it too much, but i like it lots.

yeah i agree with barney alot. I mean we have toom any people that dont write with enough adjectives.. What happened to all those lovely poems about `feelings being like rainbows and ribbons`? You should try to take every noun and put at least two adjectives in front of it...
try it...
let me give it a shot
-
blistering awful hurt makes a morose me bitterly painful like a blackened brand on a goat.
wet hot tears release me of the emptiness of everything
but i like a savage flailing butterfly don`t allow them like waterfalls of immense fortitude to fall -

better.. no?

I can`t say I really understand what this poem is about. It seems to have three different tones of voice. I think that something got lost in between all the influences. I don`t know about more adjectives - many people have written excellently without too many of them, Hemingway being a case in point - but I think the theme has to be clear before the style can help shape it.

I feel it only ``fitting`` for me to throw in my two cents here... simply because I love the way you write. ;-)
for all my flattery, I must admit though, that `starmarlboro` is definately right...
don`t you feel that so much texture is lost in poetry without adjectives...that`s the one flaw these days in `contemp poetry` ...not enough flavor, words, adjectives... try it again, and this time with adjectives.
(tongue in cheek)
do you think we may be the only two people who read your poetry and deemed it worthy of a comment? ;-) two of your greatest fans, no doubt. (where are the others? jazz? art? no one but me and ismart istar?)
muchlove
(bilamooosssssssss)
ps. my `oh so academic` reputation is obviously at stake here. look at how far im willing to go for a good chuckle. dodo.
