dost-mittar #58 On Bangladesh: try to win an invitation to a Bangladeshi family`s home. If you are lucky, they will serve hilsha fish (which everyone in Bangladesh thinks the whole world knows about, and which I learnt about when I went to Bangladesh first time and is fine food). If you are lucky, the family will entertain you with beautiful songs (Bangla songs, but Panjabi too if they think you are an OK fellow).

Dear Tahmed:
The trip was good but short, back to the usual chores! Can`t wait for another trip. No matter how bad situation is in homeland, it is still home.
Ai mere pyare batan, ai mere bichre chaman, tujhpe dil kurban...
Hope you had a good time wherever you were!
Hamidm, are you listening? Where is your column for us? We will wait for that.
Regards.

cheraym #53 I recall from an earlier post that you were visiting India. Hope you had a good visit and welcome back.

scout #52 you fooled me. But did I get mad? Of course not. As Professor Higgins (of ``My Fair Lady``) says, we men are a noble sex (or something like that).
And you fooled Hamidm too, thereby earning recognition in his last dispatch.

Harpreet, I second your comment on Hamidm. He is too good. He reminds me of Sanjeeb Chattopadhay`s writing, a great satirist from Calcutta. I was preety depressed reading `` Interest free Pakistan`` , but reading Hamid`s post, I also laughed a lot. Hamidm, on popular demand, start your column at Chowk. Please......
Well Veeresh is good too, but his long, winding sentences make impatient readers like me go astray!
Regards,
Cheraym

tahmed321 #50,
Yessss! This is what I was waiting for. I got you back for the other post.
You actually believed #41. (grinning) I thought you`d get it.
This is fun.

scout #41 ``You should be ashamed of yourself and to call yourself a Pakistani. Don`t try to emulate others interactors and lose your individuality.``
I honestly never thought anyone would think what I wrote was anything other than a joke. So please dont get mad at me for what is obviously your hurt pride at falling for it. Also, rest assured that there is no patent on writing chowk posts in a non-serious manner.

hamidm #43, ``.. for once young scout, of biblical fame, is right – this vile and cowardly attack on our gastronomical honor and haute cuisine cannot be treated flippantly .......``
THAT`S A LIEEEEEEEEEE! I never once mentioned things about food or cuisine in any posts.
I personally think Indians make better vegetarian food than Pakistanis do. But as far as meat is concerned, I agree with you. No one beats Pakistan in that territory.
For once, I think your post was humorous.
It`s nice to see you write something that doesn`t include references to religion.
What a breath of stinky fresh air that was :)

Was someone talking about originality? Talk of being pathetic enough to need `foreign` inspiration for assassinations(and other things, too, apparently):

Dear HamidM #43 . . . yup, I spoke with my Dad and apparently much of what you say may well be true BUT BUT BUT fact remains that there is an atmosphere we have at Old Delhi which I think is unique . . . OK make peace, will you do a gastronomical tour of Pakistani eating places for an Indian newspaper on a weekly basis . . .???
