How come i never met such enticing, ``literary`` females, or for that matter paki Economists with an agenda, when i was single. Could it be that i was not mixing the with right clique of dilettante`s , during my racy days in Lahore? Or could it be, that you Rehan have an overactive imgaination coupled with a libido, that many men would risk parting with their left kidney for?

I would rather you write those punjabi-bashing articles about my Lahore, where the central theme always hovers around the illustriuous, and highly active, (from what i hear recently), heera mundi place. They tell me that these women smell ghastly and dress like Bazaars;but they must know something to keep their equally notorious clientele, coming(no pun intended) back fro soem morer good , clean fun. One would think that, should not one?

Sincerely

Asim

P.S So Roshanara and her dad pretty much kept it within the family. That was some information.

RE:

umm.. lemme try again..

ur story reminded me of Thomas Pynchon`s ``Crying of lot 49``, only in an absurdist sort of way.

bugger off.

````KABUL: The Northern Alliance said Saturday it was ready to transfer power to a UN-backed transitional council and that alliance leader Burhanuddin Rabbani would not be the head of that new body.````
Good riddance -- of No Good Rabbani.
seriously i agree with whoever said they expected something ghazal oriented ... which is grossly unfair ... imagine how many people could have read it but havent. honestly the only reason i clicked on it was cos everything else ... esp the new stuff was so bloomin boring ... apparently chowk is about india and pakistan and how never the twain shall meet ...
just as well ... if it meant i got to read this ... reminiscent of random ocurrences that i for one have hidden away to be looked at and smiled at once in a blue moon ...
;p
Rehan,
ok... i cannot bring myself to utter a single word ,relevant, on this piece of yours, so i have this take only, last time i feel like the way i am-was when suddenly quite unassuringly Crying of Lot 49 came to a full screeching ``The End`` and left me pondering like the way i m right now.
more power to you....
bugger off.
Rehan ``I miss Nawaz Sharif`` Ansari:
And here I thought that I would be reading
a serious article on a ghazal singer. I must
really be getting old.
Rehan,
This I seemed to have missed in Mid-Day. But this is very good, very evocative... visual like the movie you saw Santosh Sivan`s The Terrorist.
Remembered a review of that movie called it a movie written with the camera.
I`m not sure what all this was about, but saw my own clandestine week in it. I was on PK 303 (from Lahore to Multan). Left Lahore a day before my intended. Talked things over with Malik Sahib at the Holiday Inn and wed in the gloomy downstairs hall five days on. I had much explaining to do.
mr. sexoholic,
this verbal diarrhea was much much better than your last one.
``Maza to hay is main to have a red blooded active thing I can trade trade secrets with.``
Hey, I know one if you`re interested.
