On a slightly different subject, as someone who seems to be very knowledgable about these things, I have a question. My Arab Muslim friends do not observe Lailat-ul-Qadr because they say they don`t know which night it is on. The only Haidth I have seen on the subject says that it is one of the odd nights of the last ten days of Ramadan. Why have South Asian Muslims picked the 27?

Is this such an important issue, the solution of which will lead to the progress of Islam?
Let us have our priorities right.
Fanatic discussions is definitely not the solution to any of our problems.
These kinda discussions gives me the creeps.

LA ILAHA ILALAHGU MUHAMMADUR RASOOL ALLAH

I have not disrescpted Muhammad Rasool Allah (SAW). But you will disrespect as you don`t want to know the truth.

Did I said that Muhammad (SAW) is the one who have these all qualities as the bloody BRAILVIS balames on him?

You need a proove Qadri Sahab? Then read a book of your own BRAILVI HAZRAT who is also QADRI. The book`s name is

AHL SUNNAH AUR AHL BIDDAT KI PEHCHAAN.

Ba Khuda you aare limiting sunnah and unlimiting SHIRK.

May Allah help you and show guidance amongst all.

Ameen.

And you should know I respetc RASOOL ALLAH (SAW) as I don`t compare him with God or atleast count him on even a CM low scale as you do so and call it a great Respect.

You are near to KUFR. Pray Allah to show you guidance.

Qadri Sahib (#66),

My discussions with Naqshbandi Sahib indicated that his Islam is marked with inclinations towards fanaticism and unjustified violence. Case in point is the issue of blasphemy … where Naqshbandi Sahib insists on death for those who blaspheme the dear Prophet (pbuh). While blaspheming the dear Prophet (pbuh) or Quran itself borders on hate-mongering and fanaticism, there is no justification for executing a person on such grounds. This view is fully supported by Quran … which commands believers to merely sever ties with those who blaspheme … but is rejected by Naqshbandi Sahib on basis of the works of his “scholars” (some Qazi Ayad being one such scholar)

Furthermore, Naqshbandi Sahib once told a blatant, disgusting lie regarding Mirza Ghulam Ahmed Sahib. When I pointed out to him that his utterance was a blatant lie … and is an example of hateful propaganda against Ahmadi-Muslims … he simply did not respond. This makes me question the credibility of his scholars .. esp. when they choose to ignore clear Quranic commandments and insist on killing blasphemers.

Now, my problem is not with Naqshbandi Sahib praying at the graves of the dead saints. Such matters are best left between an individual and Allah. However, I do condemn hate-mongering and baseless violence carried out in the name of Islam.

[Harimau,

I saw the exhibit at which these sculptures where featured in the Met...

Can you give me some leads on where I can get more info on them?]

This board has already gone off the front page and I am travelling for another 5 days so I can`t locate my references easily. Will you post your e-mail address (you might have done it earlier) so that I can respond to you when I get the chance?

It is impossible to generalise all `mullah`s`, even this word alone. You can not judge the Ulamaa of the world by observing the character of a few.

Also considering the disgusting remarks of pathan and his blatent disrespect of The Prophet (PBUH) from the `research he has done himself`. This self-research he has carried out is also showing his choice of words and the way his regular speech is. I have never even heard a kafir(non-believer) use such words, even those kafir who attempt to deliebratly degrade The Prophet PBUH and this person writes himself as a Muslim? To understand the words `Ghutsaakh` and `be-adab` all we have to do is listen to this pathan person.

Also for some fo the lies you wrote I dont see a reference?

You think you can even call your disrespectful statements refutations? If you want to go in to such issues I strongly advise you ask your teachers to talk, oh as you have said you didnt need or have any; The intelligence and excellence of your brain surpasses the need for any teacher? Well we can already see the mis-fired affects of this `research` you have done yourself.

Also I would like to see where you have `studied` and `researched` your points number 1 & 4, I didn`t bother to read the rest.

Qadri Sahib (#63):

Considering the fanaticism and lack of dignity of mullah’s Islam, it is not wonder people are running away from it. My occasional interacts with Naqshbandi Sahib assured me that his Islam is no different either. Ahmadis, Hindus, and conspiring Jews are not an issue here … mullahs’ enemy #1 is their own fanaticism … that people are generally sick of.

Asalamaolikum,

Brailvi`s Belief (The Follower of Ahmed Raza Khan Brailvi). As Asif Naqshbandi is one of them, so I would like to draw a picture of his fundamental thoughts which are base of his articles.

1) Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) ate only two times in life.
I think nothing to clarify about this, for the men of understandings.

2) Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W) is a ``Noor`` of Allah.
Porphet Muhammad (S.A.W) the great was not created by noor, his birth was as of a usuall human i.e. created in womb and then birth by vagine. So how can noor be a birth of vagina? No he was not a noor but was really a very great body and soul made by Almighty Allah ever.

They deny Quran by saying that Prophet (S.A.W) was a noor because Quran say that ``Oh Muhammad SAW say them that there is no difference between me and you, I am also BASHER like you, the difference between me and you is that WAHEE reveales on me.

3) He knows the GHAIB (The Screts which only Allah Knows)!
Well Allah is the only one who know GHAIB as Allah said in Quran too. And when someone knows someone`s secret than remember it will not be a secret any more. And remember Allah even didn`t told Muhammad (SAW) that when is the doom day and many major things alonwith very tiny things of GHAIB. This is also porven with majority of Hadith.

4) They believe that Muhammad (S.A.W) face was like Hindus (TOBA ASTAGHFAAR)....................NAOOZ BILLAH MAN ZALIK..................
what else is remain?

Soon I will expose this dirty sect of islam which claims to be the greatest Muslim, but instead of this they are the dities sect of Islam.

This is just a small of their believes. Tese believes just enter in their mind because they (the one before 100 years) were living with Hindus before particition and they liked their beliefe and like Hindus praises the dead one, temples and some graves of Muslim (like ajmer Shareef) so these So-Called Muslims also did the same and eventhough they also put QAWALI in their self-made Islam after competeing iht Hindus when they recite BHAJJAN.

I will not abuse, hate, dislike them but would like them to preach the real Islam.

Remember that I am not a Wahhabi or anything else. I am also against Wahabi on few bases. I am just the pure ``M U S L I M`` I am the one who didn`t follow my father on the religion bases or family till now (at the age of 20) but I myself researched the right Islam and then practised it. Anyhow, I also didn`t find my family wronng except one that was my grandmother who lived in between these brailvis for long time, but now in her old-age she also recognized the truth. I pray and wish that All of us should be the preacher of right Islam.

Ameen

hamidm2 and manjit. I think Brother Asif in a few paragraphs answered you very comprehensively. If you just use a little bit of `AQAL` I think this current state your mind is in can actually be repaired.

I don`t know you much but i can take quite alot from your from your final few interesting comments, on where you are planning to move next:

Actually people can do with a little transfer of technology from the horrible hindoos who have something lined up virtually on every day of almost every lunar month. (For example Diwali has to be on amavasya or new moon day, or Bhai dooj which needs to be on the second day of the lunar cycle or say Krishna`s birthday on Ashtami or eighth, Ganesh Chaturthi or the fourth day etc). The expression `chaudvin ka chaand` came from the lunar cycle, where else? People even have the exact timing of the new moon/full moon figured out and ways to deal with such ambiguities, so for instance if the full moon occurs during particular night hours TWO days are considered Poornima etc.

The Kerala govt calendar for example is published well in advance of every year and has 4-5 types of eras/yearly/monthly cycles all running on it, Shaka era, Vikram era, the Muslim era, Christian era of course, phases of the moon and the exact time of new moon, etc and lunar month calculated and laid down in advance. Anyone can be as obssessed as they please down to the exact hour and minute because all the info is there for them in ADVANCE in all its beautiful LACK of ambiguity.

The matter of actually sighting the moon is the only unknown in all this, which as SyedAhmed says gives the issue an interesting localising variety, a sort of devolution of powers and religious autonomy, do wish people wouldnot make a fetish of it EITHER way.

..the only one drawing attention to their stupidity is yourself by your stupid comments --rather, inane ones! The latest being that just because the astronomers of the JAS are Arabs they cannot be relied upon! This is as bad and sickening as the Aryan superiority theories propogated by the Nazis and the KKK!

Well maybe it will satisfy you to know that the astronomers at the Royal Observatory are white, middle-class Oxbridge types and they too stated catgorically that the new moon was NOT--repeat NOT visible in Saudi Arabia or in Western Europe on the night of Wed the 4th of December therefore it follows that it was IMPOSSIBLE for the Saudis to have observed it.

As to why they do this--it is not a conspiracy theory against ``Barelvis`` but a desire to know and show that for some dubious reason they, the Saudis and their acolytes insist on doing eveything differently from the rest of the Ummah. As for your repeated threats to leave the Ummah--even if in jest--they just reveal the precarious nature of your iman!

Anyway I thought iyou were intelligent but your last post destroyed that illusion tool. You have let your blind hatred of orthodox Muslims affect your intellect!

Its simple really: after 28 fasts one looks for the moon. If one does NOT see it one completes the 30 fasts and then does Eid. I dont know why you can`t grasp that simple formula.

And it is obvious that if the moon is NOT visible it cannot be seen so you shoulf ask the Saudis why they could see it. Maybe they have better eyesidht than the rest of the Ummah. Anyway, whatever the reason, their stupidity and announcements result in disunity amongst Muslims and give the non-Muslims an excuse to laugh at us.

.... are you for real?................if i were you, i would keep quite about this nonsense instead of calling more attention to the ummah`s stupidity and inabilty to grasp a simple thing like the calender .......... there is no need to make it worse - we are already the laughing stock of the world .........hopefully the occupation of iraq by a civilized nation will shock the ummah out of the seventh century .....

``the Jordan Astronomical Society (JAS) actually flew by plane to see if the moon was visible in Saudi Arabia ``.............JAS? ... what do the bedouins know about astronomy ?.......flying planes over arabia? .........who taught them to fly?

.........``In their report they have said that the moon was not visible in Saudi Arabia yet the Saudis claim that ‘someone’ saw it. ``.......are you suggesting it is some kind of a wahabi conspiracy against the barelvis and ahmedis?

``If we just take a little time in researching and analysing various information and reports from independent professional astronomers/observatories then this matter can become very simple for everyone`` ............. why and what is the answer? ......... for god`s sake get real!

......... this is exasperating! ....... allah ki kasam, i have half a mind to declare myself an ahmedi or horrible hindoo or something, so that, once and for all, i can be free of the burden of being part of the idiotic ummah! ...........this is insane!......... next thing you know we will be discussing interest free loans for the purchase of camels ............
