Urstruly, t, Farzana, Samina Shah; thank you! I`m glad you liked it.

Rozaiba; :)

Sasan; God bless, you goblin!

Saima Shah; thank you. There was an interesting article in the Guardian Review a few weeks ago by Susan Sontag where she questioned the utility of these images. Makes for interesting reading.
Though I think Paul Farrell said it nicely in his poem, Negatives: ``everyone frames an inner light.``

Aamir:
What a web you weave...ought it not to be a pleasure then to be trapped in the mesh? Each line is a silvery thread or a ``silver spell``...

Saima:
[A picture is worth a thousand words but should it be so? can or should so much complexity be reduced to easy images?]
Just thinking aloud...are the images `easy` always? Is the reduction really denuding? Does it not sometimes ensnare and beguile rather than trap? The most complex emotions are often the easiest to pin down...

this is a brilliant poem--the idea that a person is trapped in that one image--is all at once frightening and thought provoking. From the images of belles to the images of war. A picture is worth a thousand words but should it be so? can or should so much complexity be reduced to easy images?

I like the Harry Potter idea--where everybody in the magic pictures moves and looks around. Perhaps Rawlings too felt the pain of being trapped on a piece of paper.
