Very interesting story and a great ending here.
Its always the poor goats in Pakistan that suffer for guarding us
against bad omens.
But in your case the sacrifice of the two worked.

The point of the meat is not to appease some ghost or idol, but to be given to the poor as a charity... it is the act of charity that is important, equally money or clothes or something else could have been given, and if the person is too poor, then extra prayers offered to God to protect from `blavaN` or calamities...
thats all...

interesting facts leading you to believe everything is preplanned and the world is moving on some kind of a timeline - over which we have no control. But what is the point of sacrificing animals? How will that keep events from occuring. Is it to appease the ghosts? In a way is this not some kind of idol worship. Fear of the unknown - hence the appeasement?

Very interesting write-up. I liked the topic on which you wrote, and your style of narrating the events was simple enough to appear true and non-fantastical. I`ve heard of such incidents myself, though they always seem so unbelievable and farfetched, until you experience something inexplicable and downright scary yourself. I do believe there are things we cannot explain in this world and I also believe there is a parallel world that exists which we cannot see.

we are more connected to the unseen than many of us would like to think... in my family too we have experienced many of these incidents, tho now i think its just God`s way of forewarning us...
