I also had hard time finding the reference. See Alka Girdhar`s ``Its a Miracle`` in Chaathouse. You will find the exchanges in the last ten posts.
My idea then/now was to compare the Hindu and Islamic monisms with references to Tulsi Ramayan and Koran.

I had misunderstood you as well. In fact I was wondering why you had sked me the question since I have written on Chowk under my own name and I thought an old timer like you might know.
Anyways thanks for clarifying that.

gb: You are indeed a man of great wit and intelligence. beteen you and a few of your other fellow south indians on chowk, i can see that south indians are ready to take over the world.
Do they raise individuals like you in a petri dish in the advanced labs of Bangalore, or do you grow wild under the damp rocks of Kerala?

Inquirer #100 Thanks for your kind words and for the clarification. I remember some months back we had discussed something about that joint project, but must admit I cant recall what exactly it was. Could you refresh my memory?

#98, Tahmed32:
Your posts (#97, 98) are valuable. I wish you had defined the ``unbalanced`` a little more specifically. My emphasis was on ``merely,`` not on ``extraordinary.`` The interactions with you illustrate your point in #97. I did not intend to imply any equation.
Stuka, at one time appeared to me to be a strong non-communal Muslim to me, but then his denial made me feel that he is just like me in sensible views. So what is new?!
By the way, thanks for classifying me as ``sensible!``
Any thoughts about the possible joint work we had once talked about but could not because of Sridhar`s non-response?

inquirer #96 on your ``extraordinarily sensible muslim`` vs. ``sensible hindu``.
I assume the gap (a muslim needs to be ``extraordinarily`` sensible to match a hindu who is merely sensible) is a measure of your own unbalanced view of the world (and you are one of the more sensible people on chowk).
This imbalance (or intellectual weakness that causes people to use a broad brush on entire communities) is precisely what i am referring to in the last but one para of my post #97 below. Thank you for providing a timely example.

Stuka:
From an earlier interaction with you , i thought you were an extraordinarily sensible Muslim. But now the revelation: You are merely a sensible Hindu!

stuka #95 One can certainly consider individual POSTS to be disgusting. But I think one needs to avoid painting the POSTER with the same brush. The reason I say this is as follows:
1. The ``Writing Affect``: Written communication seems more offensive (since it lacks a human face that accompanies verbal communication, and/or threatening (since it has a sense of formality and permanence that is not present in verbal communication).
2. Limited Knowledge: All we know of someone from chowk are the little character flaws he betrays on chowk (e.g. honest vs. dishonest; respectful vs. spiteful). However, ultimately these are human weaknesses. The most crude abuser, the most dishonest poster, may yet be a good son to his parents, or a loving father to his children (although admittedly this is a stretch here - but nevertheless, we cant rule out this possibility).
So, while i dont mind having a bit of fun on chowk at the expense of someone who deserves it, I think there is no need to go beyond that and paint the entire person with the same brush that one would apply to his or her posts.
Of course this does not stop people from painting not just an entire person, but entire communities of people - us pakis, or hindus, or westerners, or arabs - with this brush. But that doesnt make it right either.
(Sorry to sound like i am sermonizing).

TAhmed:
I must disagree. Dionysus has never shown that individualized hatred like this guy Guijju Bania. Dionysus may be an enemy national by an accident of birth, but Gujjubania is simply a disgusting person.
Inquirer:
I am Indian, but not a Muslim. Why do you hope I am though?

I must say that in this thread it was becoming hard to say who was stupider, clueless and more offensive, gujjubani or dionysus.
But with #88, the award must go to gujjubania. I am actually surprised that chowk staff permitted this piece of hateful and hatefilled speech to appear. No surprises though that our friend dionysus is pleased with it. It takes a moron to appreciate a maha-moron.

``Those like me - REAL INDIANS - can`t wait to slowly but surely lower a nice dagger into your Paki heart , slit your throat , castrate you and watch you die , ever so slowly , screeching like a pig...and rape your women while we are at it. ``
HAHAHAHAH!! I`m gonna post this on a dozen Pakistani websites. You know, to remove misconceptions and to help Pakistanis and Indians understand each other better. HAHAHAHAHAHA!!!
