We all look for God and God is love. As Khalil Gibran puts it:

When you love you should not say, ``God is in my heart,`` but rather, ``I am in the heart of God.`` And think not you can direct the course of love, for love, if it finds you worthy, directs your course.

Also: All these things shall love do unto you that you may know the secrets of your heart, and in that knowledge become a fragment of life`s heart.

That was brilliant poetry Kyla, keep it up!!

Cheers
noetherf

That last stanza should read:

But the ground just rumbles
and I look for claws and wings
to dig and fly away to you,
my love

To you. Not from you. Just so you know.

as i signed in at chowk i was muttering about the unfairness of not getting my poem published and that maybe the chowk staff might not be all that bright.....and then i read your poems.
now i`m gonna shut up.

the flight is too good.

however, with your permission i`ll make a little suggestion.

you said,

``but I can follow you
underground and overland, I can follow you.``

however i`m tied down and i can not move... so can`t it be something like...

``but wherever you go
underground or overland
I’m heaved away with you``……………… or something where I’m pulled with him rather then moving myself..

This was just a suggestion, otherwise it’s too good to be true.

Mercy.

If I could love every contour
of your body a thousand times
if I could swim or drown with you
if I could kiss you and one more time
bring this madness to fruition

OHmYGOD..I LOWE IT!

that`s how love should be..unquenchable, insatiable, rooted in space like eternity...
and then i wake up.
