``[GOP political expert] Karl Rove called me this morning to say, `Thank you for over 30 million evangelicals who visited the polls last Tuesday and who were a major player in what happened in Mr. Bush`s re-election, and in both houses of Congress, as well as with the marriage initiatives in 11 states,``` Falwell said. ``And we have already formed a new group and begun meeting with a goal of getting 40 million people to the polls in 2008.``

introducing relgion in American politics -- great idea -- an `original` one to boot also -- it`s coming back to bite your arse Karl Rove -- as it did in Afghanistan -- congratulations for playing Evangelical Talibans in US Elections....let`s see more of it in 2008

NOTICE OF REVOCATION OF INDEPENDENCE TO CITIZENS OF THE UNITED STATES
OF AMERICA

In light of your failure to make the correct decision in electing
your President, thus showing you to be unfit to govern yourselves, we
hereby give you notice of the revocation of your independence effective as
of Monday 8Th November 2004.

Her Sovereign Majesty Queen Elizabeth II will resume monarchical
duties over all states, commonwealths and other territories. Except Utah,
which she doesn`t much fancy.

Your new Prime Minister, the Rt. Hon. Tony Blair M.P., for the 97.85%
of you unaware of the outside world, will appoint a Minister for
America without the need for further elections. Congress and the Senate will
be disbanded. A questionnaire will be circulated in twelve months time
to determine if any of you noticed.

To aid your transition into a British Crown Dependency, the following
rules are introduced with immediate effect:

1. All citizens are to look up ``revocation`` in the Oxford English
Dictionary. While there, check the pronunciation guide for ``aluminium``
- this may be surprising for you. Generally attempt to raise your
vocabulary to acceptable levels. Look up ``vocabulary``. Using the same 27
words interspersed with ``like`` and ``you know`` is an unacceptable form of
communication. Look up ``interspersed``.

2. There is no such thing as ``U.S. English``. We will let Microsoft
know on your behalf.

3. Learn to distinguish British and Australian accents. Its not
difficult.

4. Hollywood will henceforth be required to occasionally cast
Englishmen as good guys.

5. Re-learn your original anthem, ``God Save the Queen``. Please
ensure that you have complied with the first law before attempting this.

6. Stop playing American ``football``. There is only one kind of
``football``. What you refer to as ``football`` is not a very good game. The
2.15% of you aware of a world outside of your borders may have noticed
that no one else plays it. Play proper football instead; to start with
get the girls to help you - it is a difficult game. Those of you brave
enough will, eventually, be allowed to play rugby, which is similar to
American ``football``, but does not involve stopping for a rest every
twenty seconds or wearing full Kevlar body armour like nancies.

7. Declare war on Quebec and France, using nukes if they give you
any merde. The 97.85% of you unaware of the outside world should count
yourselves lucky - the Russians have never really been bad guys.
``Merde`` is French for ``sh*t``.

8. 4th July is no longer a public holiday. 2nd November will be
the new national holiday.

9. American cars are hereby banned. They are crap; its for your
own good. When we show you German cars you`ll understand.

10. Please tell us who killed JFK. Its been driving us crazy.

THANK YOU FOR YOUR CO-OPERATION.

Now, Americans want to migrate to Canada..Hallelujah, first some chowkies, now some more losers (democrats)..(sorry for an arjunesque post)

http://www.newindpress.com/NewsItems.asp?ID=IEW20041106030901&Page=W&Title=&Topic=0&

The idea of increased immigration by unhappy Americans is triggering some amusement in Canada. Commentator Thane Burnett of the Ottawa Sun newspaper wrote a tongue-in-cheek guide to would-be new citizens on Friday.

``As Canadians, you`ll have to learn to embrace and use all the products and culture of Americans, while bad-mouthing their way of life,`` he said.

``Does international law allow a city to be totally destroyed and look as though an earthquake has struck it?`` asked Jabbar Hussein, 65.

``Is a human being in Falluja worth less than an animal at London Zoo? We urge everyone to come and see the suffering of Falluja and its people and the crimes the Americans are committing in the name of democracy and freedom.``

Bush will now celebrate by putting Falluja to the torch

The world is fated to four more years of brutal confrontation

Robin Cook
Friday November 5, 2004
The Guardian

If you imagine the rest of us have a problem living with George Bush for another four years, spare a thought for the 55 million Americans who voted against him.

John Kerry is fated to be stuck with the label of a loser and is already being blamed for his lack of charisma, his absence of passion and his electoral misjudgment of being born on the eastern seaboard rather than the deep south.

Yet in fairness to Kerry, more Americans backed him than supported Bill Clinton or Jimmy Carter, and some of them queued for two hours in their determination to vote for him. There may be more conservatives in America than ever before, but there are also more Democrats.

In George Bush`s case, he not only took the White House, but he also took a clean sweep of the Senate and the House of Representatives, and he will now have the opportunity to take a majority of the supreme court. All the checks and balances that the founding fathers constructed to restrain presidential power are broken instruments.

What makes this web of reactionary ideologues a menace to the world is that they believe complex, historic problems have simple, instant, military solutions. And it is an article of faith with them that America must acquire full-spectrum dominance of military capabilities in order that it can impose such solutions unilaterally.

They will now celebrate their election victory by putting Falluja to the torch. Wolfowitz was furious last spring when the outcry among both Sunnis and Shias obliged the marine corps to abandon its siege; this time he will insist on military victory in Falluja regardless of the political cost across Iraq from civilian casualties.

The administration remained sensitive enough to the potential domestic cost of another major offensive in Iraq to delay it until after the presidential polling day, but it will not give a second thought to the adverse impact on public opinion in Britain of escalating civilian casualties.

The unpopularity at home and abroad of his ally`s reliance on overwhelming firepower will make it even more essential for Blair to obtain something in return for his support. The first test will be whether it is possible for him to engage the Bush administration in a serious effort to secure peace for the troubled peoples of Israel and Palestine. There has been some imaginative speculation that Bush might be more courageous in putting pressure on the government of Israel now that he does not face re-election.

The paradox may be beyond Bush, but the best way he could make progress in his war on terror would be by winning peace in the Middle East. When Osama bin Laden launched his attack on the twin towers he intended it as a demonstration of his malign belief that the only relationship acceptable between the west and Islam was one of violent confrontation.

As George Soros has argued, the Bush administration walked into a trap by responding in a way that accepted the terms of the relationship set down by its enemy.

Now the world is fated to four more years of confrontation, which will widen rather than narrow the gulf between the west and the east. It is ironic, given that terrorism played such a central role in the election, but Osama bin Laden must be as gratified as Dick Cheney that George Bush is back.

romair,

..... who said anything about golf courses in myrtle beach ?......... hilton head is another story .........

...........in any case, if i had a choice i would live in the carolinas even though the good old boys will go back to being bible-thumping democrats in the next cycle ........... you know, you need to brush up on your american history as well as the life cycle of the boweevil - the democrats ruled the south till the sixties, abraham lincoln was a republican and strom thurmond was a democrat and contrary to poular belief thomas jefferson was not a democrat but a democratic-republican ..........

......... and please don`t compare bible-thumping bubba to koran-thumping abdul ..... bubba doesn`t strap on an exposive belt and blow himself up after church on sunday .......... he might think that that you are not going to heaven with him unless you accept jesus as your saviour, but he is not anxious to get to heaven himself and is more than happy to sneak a drink with you in the kitchen while mrs bubba is holding a prayer meeting in the living room ...............abdul, on the other hand, is itching to get to heaven for free sex ..............

p.s .......and no, timothy mcveigh was not from the bible belt and in south carolina you don`t have to eat chitlins or marry your sister if you don`t want to .........

hamidtruly #24: ``you ask, ``Are you planning to move to South Carolina? ``....... of course, i would move in a ny minute if i could find a job there .............ever been to myrtle beach, charleston, hilton head ?...........it is simply beautiful - gorgeous beaches with wonderful weather year round .......... and, trust me, the people are wonderful -not the bible thumping whackos you think they might be``

Its good to see that you are starting to see the good in the heartland of Christian Evangelicals. This is how it all starts and finishes. Things start looking good, which previously one hated. You shouldn`t have a problem getting a job there, now, since your Evangelical friends are running the country.

By the way, just like the Dixie Chicks are better than Jerry Fallwell, similarly Myrtle Beach golf courses don`t compare with Pebble Beach. And nearly all Bible-thumping or Quran-thumping whackos I have ever met, are, in person, some of the politest people one can ever meet. I always felt you were against their politics, and not against their personal manners.

As I said earlier, there are flip-flops of Kerry`s level. And there are flip-flops of truly`s level. You have, however, raised flip-flopping to a whole new level...........Who would have thought, there would come a day when you would be arguing in favor of the Bible belt, while others would be trying to convince you of its shortcomings.........

In another year or two, we should start to prepare ourselves for your supporting arguments on the wonderful people of Mansoora, Dar-ul-Haqania and Jhang.....People on one extreme of the pendulum do tend to swing to the other extreme.

I have always felt that all this rhetoric about Islam and secularism is nonsense. If the price is right, the biggest Shariah-lovers and USA-haters will happily settle down in the USA. And if the price is right, the biggest relgion-haters will happily move to South Carolina, hold hands with Fallwell`s brigade and vote into power the most religious political leader, the Western world has seen since WWII.........

We know that we live in a world of double standards. In Fallujah the US has created a new and shadowy target ``Abu Musab al-Zarqawi.

Al-Zarqawi is a new excuse to justify the USAs criminal actions. A year has passed since this new excuse was dreamed up, and every time they attack homes, mosques and restaurants, killing women and children, they say. We have launched a successful operation against al-Zarqawi.

They will never say they have killed him, because he does not exist. The people of Fallujah assure you that this person is not in the city, nor probably anywhere else in Iraq.

Many times the people of Fallujah have asked that if anyone sees al-Zarqawi they should kill him. We know now that he is nothing but a phantom created by the US.

Our representatives have repeatedly denounced kidnapping and killing of civilians. We have nothing to do with any group that acts in an inhumane manner.

We call on you and the leaders of the world to exert the greatest pressure on the Bush administration to end its crimes against Fallujah and pull its army back from the city.

When they left a while ago, the city had peace and tranquility. There was no disorder in the city. The civil administration here functioned well, despite the lack of resources.

Our offence is simply that we did not welcome the forces of occupation. This is our right according to UN Charter, according to international law and according to the norms of humanity.

It is very urgent that you, along with other world leaders, intervene immediately to prevent another massacre. We have tried to contact UN representatives in Iraq to ask them to do this but, as you know, they are sealed off in the maximum security Green Zone in Baghdad and we are not allowed access to them.

We want the UN to take a stand on the situation in Fallujah.

Best wishes, in the name of the people of Fallujah, the shura council of Fallujah, the trade union association, the teachers union, and the council of tribal leaders ``

On behalf of the people of Fallujah and for:

Al-Fallujah Shura Council
The Bar Association
The Teacher Union
Council of Tribes Leaders

``romair mian,

........ how did you reach the conclusion that bush ``is hell-bent on making religion the center of the political process`` ? ......... let`s not forget that he is a reformed drunkard and the father of the party twins who i expect to see in playboy any day ......... the american political process has withstood all kinds of presidents in the past two hundred plus years ....... if it is any consolation, i might have voted for kerry if john macain had been on his ticket ......... the pompous idiot didn`t make any sense to me ........the democrats need better leaders than ben affleck and the dixie chics ..........``

I would have voted for Nader. At the same time, the Dixie Chicks are a lot better looking than Jerry Fallwell. And more entertaining. As I said earlier, from now onwards, ``you will have to regularly present confusing round-about reasonings to justify your conflicting ideas.``

Bush is not hell bent on bringing religion into politics, since he has already succeeded in doing that. After a long time, religion is now the no. 1 voting issue in the USA, according to surveys. Bigger than the economy and Iraq. Even though the economy and Iraq are big issues right now. Once they two cease to be issues, religion will become even bigger.

The South is easily the poorest area in the USA, yet it votes unconditionally for Bush and Republicans. Why? Because of religion. What else is he giving them? Any priest in any country of the world, who wants to make it big as a televangelist, heads straight for the USA South. The Republican South is to priests like Benny Hinn of Canada, what Hollywood is to people like Ben Afflack.

Bush cannot get elected dogcatcher, if he does not have the 33% of the US vote that comes from the Christian Evangelicals. He, himself, is one. What to talk of bringing religion into politics, these guys won`t even let someone go to heaven if the person refuses to consider Jesus their savior. And they want to make the Middle East safe for the second coming of Christ.

The Evangelicals are now more powerful than the NRA. So pretty soon you will see Democrats getting photographed with Bibles, much like they now get photographed with hunting guns. Even though, on principal, Democrats are against guns and religion in politics.

Any political leader, in debt to this Evangelical group, not to mention being a personal member of this group, is certainly not going to take religion out of politics. Is he? Having said that, the Evangelicals have perfect right to vote for him. I could have even voted for Bush, on principle, since I have no issues with religion. But not people like you, who abhor religion, in or out of politics............

While I always enjoyed your humor, it was begining to get a bit stale now. It will, however, be fun listening to your round-about reasonings on why you have joined hands with the religious right.......Are you planning to move to South Carolina?

religion pays -- it pays in Pakistan -- it pays in India for 5 years -- it pays in Afghanistan -- -- it pays in Saudi Arabia -- it pays in Israel -- and it pays in the United States...

it creates such potentially Noble Nobel prize winners like -- Maulona Fazoolurrahman -- Acharaya Advani -- Mohammed Ata -- Rabbi Kahane -- Mulla Omar -- Osama bin Osama -- .........and Bush bin Bush...

who says only Islamist extremism pays -- blood thirsty Christian Evangalism pays even bigger -- kills 100000 of heathen enemy -- sacrifices 1200 of faithfuls of its own in the Noble kause of Killing Mohammed for Jesus -- and sweeps the world`s dummest democracy off its feet -- installs a pompous arse Mongoloid -- the Dubious Dubya -- as the dyslexic Emperor of the world....

I want to convert -- I want to find an Evangelical Womb somewhere in the Bible belt United States -- enter it -- and be born again -- as a gay basher -- anti abortionist -- anti-stem cell -- anti evolution -- anti antiNRA -- anti black -- anti jew -- anti hindu -- anti muslim....

I want to be born-again as a Jesus Soldier -- spreading the gospel all over the heathen world -- with daisy cutters and smart bombs....

.....I am tired of being a co-religionist of -- that loser -- mass murderer for Mohammed -- Sheik Osama bin Shiek Osama -- I want to join the faith of -- that winner -- mass murderer for Jesus -- Reverend Bush bin Reverend Bush....

right now I desperately want to be born-again as a Jerry Falwel Republican....and rule the world....with bible and bomb....

........where is Barbara Bush.... can I use her womb....?

hamidm #18: ``........ you can have a moral issue without it being a religious issue ....... mrs hamidm voted for proposal 2 because ............. i voted against proposal 2 because i think...................... so, you see, sometimes religion has nothing to do with morality - most of the people who voted for kerry are liberal christians - they were not atheists or agnostics ........ on the other hand, i am sure, that there were many liberal christians who, like mrs hamidm, simply cannot get over their homophobia ........ but like i said to temporal, there is no need for alarm, the pendulum always swings back to the middle``

Alas, how the might (and vocally opinionated) have fallen!! It is indeed a sad day on Chowk......

You, now, sound more and more like Urstruly, everday. And will continue to do so, for the next four years, or more. I keep asking Urs, how he can justify supporting the destruction of the USA, while simultaneously living off the benefits the USA provides. And he keeps giving me round about reasons, which still make no sense to me. ``I was duped,`` ``I follow the laws of the country I live in, even if I hate it,`` he says. Whatever that means. This is the kind of logic one must provide, if one wants to run with the hares and hunt with the hounds. It is very similar to the logic you have provided above.

Had Bush not invaded Iraq, I would have actually voted for him (had I been in America). I happen to have a lot in common with the Christian Evangelists, in personal values (even if they condemn me to hell, since if I don`t consider Jesus my savior). And I like low taxes.

But, I have never had problems with religion, and am indifferent to religion in politics. You, on the other hand, have made a living ridiculing the mauvlis, and blaming religionists for various problems (on which I generally agree with you), and hating religion (on which I disagree with you). Nothing wrong with that, as long as one is consistent and not a flip-flopper.

But now you have done the ultimate flip-flop. It makes Mr. truly`s explanations on living in America, look like small potatoes. Off all the people on Chowk, one would have expected that you would be the ultimate antogonist of Bush. Bush is the only person in the Western world, who is hell-bent on making religion the center of the political process. And he has now succeeded. He is thus a more successful, and much more powerful, version of a Western Qazi Hussain.

Do you realize that from this point onward, after having voted for Bush, you commentaries on maulvis and the harm they cause (and the harm religion causes) will have about as much thunder as Urs` commentaries on why America is the evil empire? That, you will have to regularly present confusing round-about reasonings to justify your conflicting ideas.

Not even you can run with hares (secularists), while trying to hunt with the hounds (Bush`s Evangelists)...........A sad day, indeed! What will become of the Pakistani nation, when even its secular fanatics and mullah-haters are ready to jump ship, if the price is right............
