The only difference between India and Pakistan is that in India, no divisive ideology can succeed because the body polity is overwhelmingly secular and not interested in making religion the cornerstone of life, as the BJP discovered to its horror, whereas in Pakistan, the majority of the so-called moderates is easily intimidated and prefers to remain silent when the religious fringe tries to impose its vision on all Pakistan.

The issue of moving forward however has been accepted by the Hindus. The gravity emitted from all the schools of thought are fundementally different in their approach for Hindustan.

They have only agreed to move forward. The issue of modernity is one settled amongst the Hindus?

I feel that is absolutely incorrect.

The Shiv Sena, BJP, RSS, and the Sangh Parivar at large disagree with the concept of modern India completely.

Yeah, I`m sure it settled. Baal Thackerey supporters go running around burning shops and throwing stones at `KFC` on Valentines Day.

The issue of modernity is NOT settled amongst the Hindus.

How? By claiming Jinnah was better than Gandhi?

[I congratulate you on spelling the name of Nazi propagandists right... atleast you know your heritage.]

I still see you running away from answering my question. This board has been on for quite some time now..you still don`t have an answer as to what Jinnah did to stop the violence? In response to Chauri Chaura, Gandhi stopped his non-cooperation movement immediately, took responsibility for whatever happened and said he was ready to face any punishment. In contrast, Jinnah, didn`t so much as squeak in almost a week during which the violence raged.

Did he want the violence to go on so the Muslim League could showcase its might and put the fear of god into the Hindus and British?

Yes, Jinnah was better than Gandhi....at opportunism of the worst kind.

Only someone as fixated on personalities as you can come up with such a conclusion. Gandhi is revered the world over for his contribution to what is a unique struggle, the likes of which had never been seen before. No one, except you, remembers him for his racism. In contrast, who knows Jinnah?

You guys tried to immortalize Jinnah in a tit-for-tat response to Sir Richard Attenbororugh’s ‘Gandhi’, but we all know what happened. No one, not even Pakis, remember that movie. Like I said before, a pig is a pig, all the lipstick in the world notwithstanding.

And yeah, it is Goebbels, not Goebells.

No you didn’t. You only produced the statement Jinnah issued before the DAD began, which I promptly acknowledged. You never provided any statements from him during the DAD violence, which lasted for about a week. Jinnah should have done that if he were really concerned about the violence, since it was a foregone conclusion that there would be riots specially when speaker after speaker from the Muslim League was issuing threatening statements.

No you don’t. If that were really the case, you wouldn’t have waited till now. When I said I believed Jinnah was an opportunist thug, you immediately latched on Gandhi’s racism, and tried to make Jinnah look better than him. This is hardly a sign of respect for a person’s opinions.

[Learn to be honest with yourself. Forget what I think.]

I suggest you follow this advice seriously.
