That’s an excellent article about the state of poor Muslim athletes in India. If you are a Muslim in India, it is easier for you to become a Bollywood Hero than, say, a train Conductor. I love when a hitter scores a homerun with the wickets loaded. So what was his batting average? And also what positions did he field? Short stop, first base or catcher?

All this reminded me off my college days and the inter-college
tournament we have in Karachi .
What I think *and this is what I really think* is that Indian
Cricket Board has this North-South Divide which often ends up in
chopping some deserving talent mostly from Northern India somehow.
It`s always is hard for new-telent to come foward and it is equally
hard to spot them but what happens after selection (specially in
India and Pakistan ) is something which either destroy`s the new
player or make him a hero.
New Talented players are raw , they have to be refined and this process
often takes more then 5-6 International Tests , more then 30 One-Days and
lot of practice and this is where Pakistanis are good at and Indians are not
(agree or not) . Pakistanis are always willing to give youngsters a chance ,
not once or twice but for atleast a season but Indians don`t somehow , either
because of internal politics or they have too many reserves - something which
is harmful in longterm .
Australia is a prime example , full of aged players blocking new talent for years
and now they end up with talented players of past who should have been given a chance
before but Australia was doing too well so why bother? this mentality led to there
Ashes Defeat to pussy cats Brits .
