Re: # 6 You say that it's in the book, so why can't you post it here? Hands too dirty to touch the holy book I suppose? Or maybe you're coming up with lame excuses and snippets from forwarded e-mails. That's what I would call pathetic. It's even more pathetic than all those ill things you mentioned down there.
Bring the ayat here on this page, and we can proceed with the conversation, in a more civilized manner.

Azure 5,
Is there any ayat that tells that immoral women are to be beheaded. No no. They why are taliban doing it, well they follow hinduism, take it from me.
You all have to overcome the mantra, islam is good, muslims are bad.
It is the same un-known ayat that tells the muslims to kill immoral women, not men, that makes them spit during ramzan, because from dawn to dusk they should not eat or drink anything including spit.
Come up with something smarter than asking me to quote the ayat. pathetic.

The news that another woman has been beheaded by militants in FATA for allegedly being involved in 'immoral activities' is a perturbing and unsettling indication of a hate campaign against women in the region. The note that was found with her decapitated body, claiming that the punishment was in accordance with Shariah and threatening to subject other women involved in 'immoral activities' to a similar fate, is a troubling sign that this campaign is guised in the veil of religion by militants who think that they are the custodians of the Muslim faith. Earlier this month, two women in Bannu, in the North West Frontier Province, were also beheaded because of their alleged role in 'immoral' activities. The situation needs to be taken very seriously and calls for action by the authorities. It is clear that this is a trend that needs to be put to a stop. Far from being pious or righteous, these acts are crimes of a psychotic nature. Even if the victims were indulging in immoral acts, the absurdity of individuals and non-state organizations handing down penalties in private capacities based on notions that are essentially uni

Maryan,
Here we go again, trying to be civilised without trying to understand teh basic reason for paki spitting habit.
It is written in the book that one should not swallow even spit from dawn to dusk during ramzan and that si why the muslims spit every where.
Can any one deny teh root cause.
I am waiting.

In college days, a friend described his travel in a bus in NWFP: He says they were spitting in the bus. Not just spitting, but according to him spitting so much and so hard that it was like bullets flying in the bus. He then demonstrated how ducked his head one way to miss one flying spit, then ducked to the other side to miss another spit coming flying another way..all the way from Rawalpindi to Peshawar...at least that is what he claimed...

Hey you could have made it so much more funnier.
I agree with aquaris that you didn't mention "Paan ki Peek" which is favorite occupation of the native "muhajiroon" and is more rampant than the spitting by Afghanis/Pathans.
At least its better than Punjab where you find people urinating instead of spitting. I know they urinate in Karachi as well but its limited to certain walls especially where its forbidden to do so. In Punjab the problem is universal, you find them in every green belt.
