#111, true the fallout is with Musharraf and not the Army as I have maintained, for that purpose they have to ensure that he takes off the uniform.... or a hellfire will be sent his way by the Americans....
An alternative, though unlikely scenario, however since the Americans do not normally deal again with their peons out of favor, he went to SA for his own damage control having been forced to submit to the US contrary to Saudi wishes this time. In which case he stays

Asadi,
On Medals of Freedom for Justice Chaudary board I wrote this:
“The US sends out Negroponte who wants to figure out how to help the army. He also wants to assess: where would the bleeding stop? The resistance in Pakistan may end up blocking the army from the future adventures and that is not in the US interests.
The damage control is in full swing. I seriously doubt that the US would be able to control the events in Pakistan.”
The damage control is not about Musharaf it is about saving the Pak army.
I also wrote this: “Just look at how Saudi Arabia is helping the General and now how Dubai came forward to help him. It shows two things: first, Musharaf and the army have reasonable amount to influence over the Saudis and the Gulf States and second, he still is not isolated and the US will have to do more to remove him. One more thing, the US alone will not be able to remove him; his ties with Saudis will have to be cut.’
Musharaf is in SA to figure out how far the criminal Saudi clan is going to support him. My thinking is that they too are about to say good bye to him.
The US has been planning to set up bases in the tribal areas and Northern Baluchistan for sometime now and the money that comes with the bases is the carrot being dangled before the Pak Army to move in to remove Musharaf quickly so that US can cut the deal with the new Pro west army COAS and new Pro west PM. The games they play.

How are the US elite going to convince their folk of using their dollars to fight an unending war if the enemy cannot be named for easy identification? The CIA imports into Afghanistan, with minds of morons (like the UBL) thought that they could play Captain Kirk (of Star Trek fame) and so like every idiot Mullah in Pakistan who has started his own organization to "change the world", they acted with the same tradition of naming their group Al-Qaeda. Now every bang that occurs around the globe anywhere is with extreme ease labelled by the US elite as being done by "Al Qaeda" or "Al Qaeda inspired"- see how convenient it becomes, define a situation as real (even though it is total BS) and its sets in place a dynamic that eventually makes it real- known to social scientists as the Thomas Theorem

If GEO is a CIA venture, don't you think that Al-Qaida is a fictious characters created by the same agency. I did not hear of it before 9/11. A fictious character that it can use to wage war in this country. We have created Taliban as a result of fighting this so-called war.

The good coming from all of this other than the many movements that will be a thorn in the side of the ruling junta in Pakistan for a long time to come, not to mention the diminished authority and reputation of the military in the minds of the people atleast, is the shutting down of the CIA media concern, GEO TV. Good riddance to the voice of America propaganda spewed day and night on this channel that tried to act as catalyst in fermenting the crisis manufactured by the Pak Army/US elite. Deep down it is a Pakistan Army/CIA channel through and through....good riddance I say, but unfortunately it is going to come up again....

It seems like Negroponte got guarntees from Musharraf and Kiyani for the establishment of bases in the northwest under the guise of "training" a new paramilitary force, in exchange for letting Musharraf continue. If that is the case, then the peon has relented and gone on a damage control trip to SA, which might ensure his survival, otherwise the Americans would have seen the end of him very soon. The injustice in all of this, and the barbarism is that the people of Pakistan are made to suffer due to the adjustments of the US power elite and their peons, over 165 million people...

A while back HP mian had mentioned US interest in the Khyber, yesterday the news came out of US training a new paramilitary force in that region as a propose plan which will involve hundreds of US troops on the ground in the northern region, inside Pakistan. Similar "training" will also be conducted in the Baluchistan region, to provide support to bombing missions inside Iran from there, conducted by the US possibly under the Israeli flag to control fallout. US military bases in these two regions are all but certain during the future periods covering the rest of your lives, with or without Pakistan...

"Hamidm wife may be like Columbo's wife."
I think that would explain his lack of interest in her and spending all his time posting here at Chowk.

Zyxius.
Hamidm wife may be like Columbo's wife. Nobody has ever seen her.
Although I agree that religious sensibility is important. But don't you agree that people have done a lot in the name of religion. I call it "Kabutri" or female pigeon. One of my friend well versed in religion would say "Kabutri Ko dekh kur Billi Key Munh mey Paani AA jata Hai' "When a cat sees a female pigeon its mouth waters".
It may be excessive and somewhat sarcastic style, but I did not see any misfact (misopinion is different). How you defend it? He did mention that Muslims are beheading and killing Muslims in the name of Islam. He did mention that Muhammad PBUH did Jahad.
I have my opinions on these, but whatever is done in the name of Islam may not be Islam or Islamic teaching. Now the freedom movement in Iraq, Palestine, Afghanistan and Kashmir on another board is being labelled as terrorist movements with three occupying forces labelled as fighting terrorism. Take your pick. Who knows how much blowing up is done at the behest of occupying forces in the name of Islam.
