Wasiq,

Read one of Daniyal's piece on New Yorker. Pathetic writing, I must say. I wonder what made you review his book with such warmth. Hope it's not cuz he writes in English and you being a fellow Pakistani wanted to promote him unnecessarily, right?

Wasiq,

I hope you do know that Mr. Mueenuddin is close to 50 years old. Since I met him recently, I was a little suprised by "talented young Pakistani" business.

And I hope to find Pakistanis I can identify with in this book. From your description, it seems that might actually be possible.

I glanced over your review, amazed at the coincidence, having just ordered this book online. ( I was told about it by Scout). It looks fascinating. I will read your article properly after I receive the book.
