If someone wants to join islam, the so called quake mullahs or people who had few books on islam on the shelf just for showoff(trust me i know the person i am talking about...as they say know your enemy),how can they judge that person and allow or disallow him to become a muslim. In My case their only argument was ``You are not doing it from your heart``.
``Ohh...Really...right now i am swearing at you.....can you feel it/hear me? since u know whats in my heart....``
I belong to the most controvercial sect of islam.....any guesses?

thanks for the usefull info.

Re: CROS:

I have tried twice to contact Synic on the address given in your e-mail but all I get is the auto response that Synic is away for few months.

RE: Synic

Please forgive me if I hurt your feelings. THAT was not the intent.

I merely expressed what I know is on the minds of AT LEAST three others (with whom I have had personal contact) on the CHOWK.

If you look back with fairness, you will notice why I made the request that you spare us your ``preaching of religion``. You have been doing this under other articles too. Yes you did once pomise (I think it was to Saima - in response to her article) that you will not preach again, but alas, you did not keep your word. Just look back hereunder and you will see what I mean. Also, some of us felt that you were using various names such as Elite Magazine, and all those United Submitters` messages. Your style, my friend, is unmistakable, no matter what names you use (and to be sure, you have used several -- again, no offense meant and you have every right, but lets not think others are so gullible as to not notice your writing style).

Again, please do not take this as a personal rebuke, as I know you are a sensitive person. No one suggested that you should ``disappear``, so there is no question of ``reporting`` you to the chowk staff. I addressed you directly because I trust your good intentions and thought that you just didn`t realize what effect you were having and that being a civilized and (hopefully) mature person you will consider my request with an open mind. I am always interested in reading what you have to say when you are giving your original opinions, it is those never-ending sermons you keep posting from some source you`ve tapped into that grits the nerves.

Cheers, :)

I second the notion forwarded by ``the Gentleman``.

This person who assumes the titles, CYNIC, Synic, Bubba, or what ever else, needs to understand that it is a matter of common courtesy and politeness to be considerate enough and not ``hog`` the space here.

I`m sure there are others like Raagi who would want more of this preaching, for them the person concerned could simply post the URLs and let them go and check those out themselves.

I was reluctant to voice my disappointment, but I feel that this person (synic) basically means well but is simply too fond of ``INTERACTING`` and wishes to innundate this site. PLEASE, sir, be kind to us and write your original poems, as you are wont to do, but spare us this ``clip and past`` preaching. It kills the discussion cold and you have the exact opposite effect of what you (most like) want, ie, to improve the discussion.

I have observed, over the past months, several times, that you always post entries on EVERY article (under different names) and in the process often manage to kill the discussion by bring up tangents that makes people roll their eyes in exasperation and move on just to avoid the ``noise`` you post. Please, I beseach you, have some mercy on others who do not have as much spare time as you do and have other things to do than to hang around the CHOWK and yawn their way through your never ending preaching of the Koran, of which you have suddenly become an ardent defender.

This was an excellent article and would have probably had a far more interesting and longer discussion if you had been a little less selfish.

My Cyberfriend Synic:

I am honored to have a friend like you. Thank you for giving me the url. I have spent my last two days looking for and finding the answers to most of the questions that bothered me all my life. I feel that I have become a much more devout Muslim (submitter) now that I have found these answers and from no other source but the Book that I always believed in and nothing else. I must admit at times I had doubts if I was wrong in discarding all other books but now I am more at peace with myself than I have ever been.

Thanks to Almighty Allah who showed me the way to get there through people like you, Chowk staff, and I must say people like the ``Gentleman``.

May Allah bless you all.

Sory about misspelling Synic`s name in my earlier posting.

Re: Gentleman,

I don`t see reason to get so worked up on Cynic`s postings. These are very informative (it depends on one`s point of view and openness of mind). Long time ago I once heard about it in a lecture in MCC Silver Spring, and I was very much surprised by the outcome of that computer research. I did not realize that the researcher had claimed to be a messenger of God (if he was not giving anything new to people to believe in, I don`t find anything wrong with it). But I am sorry to learn that the person who worked so hard to prove to the non-believers the authenticity of the Holy Book was murdered by the so-called ``Din ke Rakhwalay``.

I do agree that Cynic should have given more information about the site, the source of his articles, so that the interested ones could visit the site themselves and freshen up their faith (like mine which starts getting rusty after reading or listening to people like you).

Re: Cynic,

Please keep writing or may I say ``posting`` such articles for our benefit. But do keep them short and give information from where one can read the whole article.

Good work Synic. May I suggest you something? Please try to write Muhammad and not Mohammed and further Muslim not Moslem. This is just a suggestion and not a very critical point. Keep coming `em ;)

This article has just renewed my faith in Islam. Just as one of the other brothers said I am a born again Muslim and I am glad I read this. Although there was nothing new that I didn`t know before but reading all the related ayats had a profound effect. Allah -O-Akbar.

Thank you this was an excellent article. Very important
to base our beliefs on the Quran not just
what ulema say, as they are very well prone
to error. Hopefully this article will contribute
to ending the persecution of groups such as
the Ahemadiyya and Bahahi peoples. However, that
is a long shot, as long as we follow the maulanas
blindly.

Superbly presented. It is delightful to come back to a reasoned exposition of Islamic thought which adds credibility to the faith.
My only and slightly irreverent thought is if Ramses had lopped off the opposite arms and legs of the faithful, they would have been awfully hard to crucify. Maybe he just nailed them to a pole and faked it. :-)
