WORDS OF WISDOM

In a Reuters report carried by Dawn on May 31, a renowned Pakistani scientist scoffing at international economic sanctions says ``Ninety-nine percent people eat bread with onions and they won`t be affected.``

Agreed that these ninety percent do not even dream of the chinese cuisine the scientist is so fond of. It could also be added they have no desire to secure a decent education for their children. And yes, these ninety percent
also do not need hospitals because they eat bread with onions.

Talking about the rest he says, ``five percent have so much at home and abroad that it will make no difference to them. The middle class will suffer some pressure and they will also adjust.``

His near and dear ones have been taken care of and the middle class will adjust by joining the bread with onions gang.

Who can argue with a renowned scientists words of wisdom?
