AAmir,
Do not be misled by the rantings of these Khalistanis. While what they say about under-5 mortality rate in India may be true, all that can be explained by the poverty. We can go on debating why India is still poor. I have talked about it in another thread. What interests me is what was the purpose of these Khalistanis in this matter. As i understand, there are some of this fast disappearing species called ``Khalistanis``,mostly located in Canada, some in USA. People of this species are mostly agriculturists and some are stinking rich. They see Khalistan as an opportunity to assert themselves. The fact of the matter is that Khalistan has no popular support among the sikhs in India. It is also a stupid concept, economically speaking. To limit the free enterprising sikhs to a geographically localised area called Khalistan, landlocked between India and Pakistan will be the end of prosperity for this great people.
It is of interest to me that Pakistan does not figure in the list or did i miss the name?

Hey Ayesha,
Thanks very much for the info. Appreciate it. Shows how much i know about the ``happening`` scene in Pakistan. Thankfully too, i might add! :)
Listen i understand Junoon is visiting SJSU. Do u know whom we can contact to arrange theiur concert at Stanford as well. We have quite a few people who are trying to investigate the possibility of their coming over to Stanford University to do a gig. They were scheduled to do one here about two years ago, but something did not work out.
Just out of curiosity what are the tickets like for their concert. I hope one does not have to get a mortgage to finance one`s concert tickets.
If you ``know`` these guys, and well help us get in touch with them etc, we shall be grateful. You may mail me at ahayat1@hotmail.com
Cheers,
Asim

Salams,
Ras,
Thanks so much for your kind words of the show, Here is a pretty good offer... to YLH first, I`ll get you an exclusive date with Vaneeza Ahmed if you get come and as an obvious outcome generate some halchal about Pakistan at the show. And to Rsexena, I`ll give you a VIP(very important Paagal) ticket to the show if you come. Ras obviously has a VIP ticket which you can get at the front. And Here is an invitation to every Chowk reader( those I recognize) to have a free ticket. Includes Indians. :)
Regards,
Aisha

None of the Sunys are in my knowledge close to the size of Rutgers... but that is not disputing their
Accademic excellence..Let us not forget that Columbia, and NYU also will fit into a little less than 1/10th of Rutgers... but that doesnt mean they are not better schools.
RAS Siddiqui,
If you think I will, or Rsaxena, or scout will buy an air ticket to come watch a show 2500 miles away... well then sir, I say you live in a dream world :).But as a note of caution, you should be careful what you ask for, because it might just come true.

Scout
WOW again. Actually I was mislead by your combat style and its efficacy, which suggested that there was a Saas and some Nannds around. I agree that cows are benevolenet. I love cows.

Urstruly, ``U go to a university? wow ``
Yes, SUNY Ag. & Tech upstate where I learned the ins and outs of the most recent hormone therapy invented to boost up cows` milk production.
My dream is to some day have a farmhouse with a big red barn with a huge white poster that says ``Milk`s Got More.``

``First I had to defend KGS from a Northern assault and now SJSU from the IVY BUNCH.``
Who are the Ivy Bunch on Chowk? Please reveal yourselves. There is a secret society in NY you may be interested in joining. It even serves little cucumber sandwiches and real Assam tea in dainty little cups.
