I think this is becoming a norm to write autobiographies and achievments.wasim and waqar have got onot the act, wonder when shahid afridi`s autobiography will come.

I think Pakistan has wasted too much time on cricket and produced so little besides winning a world cup from the hand of God.This single minded emphasis approach has literally squeezed the other sports. Its about high time that other sports in Pakistan espacially soccer were promoted.Shame, they dont even have a building! There was a time when Pakistan was plaiyng among the top teams in asia in the 60 with iran and others , look where they got to; sending players to europe and earning fame and money and we are stuck with stuck up cricketers , who fake injuries and almost all have ego problems and also have a the great record of fixing matches. If there is one sport that must be killed for humanities sake, it has to be cricket.

In england cricket is dying becasue of soccer, in Pakistan the tragedy is even worse cricket has killed all other sports

Hey Zai!
Yasir Hameed is already talked a lot .... when he hit his tonns in each ining... Javed was very glad. Nice to see both`s names on one page.

Sound:
You KNOW `how only skills matter`...im not kidding...

Veerish!
(The game in India, now, is basketball.) ..since when? Azlaan Shah Tournament or after VB series??? ..just kidding:D

This is the best auto-biography ever written. Even my 7 year old son went through each page when its first edition came out last year and developed love for the game. Earlier, he was into soccer. This goes to prove how appealing to people of any age the writing style and presentation is.

But that was the time when cricket had not really made it into the NWFP. Now the province sends a number of player to the national team. The recent players from NWFP: Yassir Hameed, Umar Gul, Younus Khan, etc.

I would suggest all Chowkies having interest in Pakistan`s cricket to buy a copy. This would be collector`s item.

The ``author`` I suppose is more of a translator, because all of us are well aware of Javed Miandad`s English-speaking skills.

Nice style, and the me-so-innocent account of the confrontation with Kiran More is cute.

The references to Allah are gratuitous but presumably mandatory for a book to sell in Pakistan.

For cricket aficionados (veeresh, pls to excuse), no substitute for Steve Waugh`s tour diaries. do check them out.

me too tired to be grammatical...

good night

Warning: anti cricket posting.

Yet another attempt by Pakistanis to run India down in an international forum, instead of sorting things out a la mode bi-lateral.

I mean, look at this, 495/- in Pakistan and 660/- in India? Is there no justice?

(The game in India, now, is basketball.)
