First of all, i am wondering if you are the T.V. actress Huma Mir. Secondly, i would not be surprised if you are my 2nd cousin Huma Mir. She lives in lahore. But at the end, i may be little disappointed that you are not my cousin. That way, i could share the feeling, what you felt after finding no connection with Fakhra. Aap kahan rehti hein, aur chowk par kia karti rehti hein!!!
Regards.

garam chai # 13 - there has been only one of my friends whose name was Fakhra. That was when i was going to elementary school. i remember, even in that age, she had a knack for writing poetry. So I was just wondering if it was the same Fakhra, since the author`s profile mentions that she is from the same area.
And no I am not disappointed. It happens :)

After reading your profile, i feel like that i am reading my own profile. It seems that me and HUMA_MIR are trying to establish a personal contact with you, who write so beautifuly.
Composing ideas into poems or essays is an art. It is like a rain. Rain drops fall on different spots, and each carry a diffrent experience. These drops become streamlines while adding the muddy color of soil. Then these muddy streams fall into river, and forming a new homogenous river water. Multiple entities tranforming into single entity.
That be so nice to exchanging ideas, and talking about beauty with you in islamabad.
What you say?

Answer to #9: No.
Thank you for liking Wandering Star, I must admit the title, was inspired by Portishead.
Sorry for the delayed response, these days are just, cuckoo.

#7 temporal,
You are right. Creativity arises only when you lose the fear of being wrong. Hmm. It could`ve been the science syndrome (errors and apologies), thanks for the note :)

fakhra - just out of curiosity, did you or your family ever lived in Pindi - near viqar un-nisa girls college?
#8 Posted by huma_mir on October 29, 2004 12:09:48 pm
fakhra - i absolutely loved the ``wandering star``. It was sooo moving, and at some level i felt i could relate to it. Thank you for sharing it.
I see triumph lie at my feet
As humanity questions my existence
I have learnt to make ends meet
I savor my bitter independence
A new beginning is near
That will lead me to my destiny,
Destiny;
Should I hope for or fear?
Closer to the end of my tyranny?
beautiful!

fakhra/noetherf:
I realized later best and worst are too subjective, I apologize for the error.
no need to apologize:)
there are writers and poets who relish revising a piece once they have made a final decision...the moving finger writes and having writ ...and then their are others (including me) who almost always find something to tweak and change in their seen or unseen work...always trying to find that perfect word or phrase to fit in the slot...guess to each kind their own...
