Wonderfully presented. Yes, it was agonizing to
watch Miandad return after that last innings in
Bangalore. Is it not strange that there is so
little written about Javed Miandad. Perhaps
he did not have the blessings of the British
Press; but shouldn`t that be held as a badge
of honor?

Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Dies at 49
Perhaps the most extraordinary aspect of
Nusrat`s talent was his ability to evoke
emotions even in people who had never
been exposed to the mystical magical style
that we know so well as Qawwali.

It almost seems like yesterday that I was standing
in the audience (Berkeley `96), enraptured
and engaged by the passion of Nusrat`s voice.
Now I can never forget that day.
