No Fault Of Mine

ras,

had dilip skipped the `awards` from the self-intro, it would have made him look a bit dignified.

his main audience for this article is overseas indo/paks. if he were not to insult our intelligence he would not write -

[...Then again, there`s that old familiar calling card: it`s patriotic to point the finger at Pakistan. ...As patriotic Indians, we must believe the worst about Pakistan, we must hate its citizens...As patriotic Indians, we must stand toe to toe with those patriotic Pakistanis, screaming so loudly that neither side can hear the other...]

what is the basis for making such statements?

and then you explained to me `don`t get worked up...he is not for handing over kashmir...`

if you journalists have something new to tell us, please do.

[...he is not for handing over Kashmir to Pakistan...]

he is not? line 27 clearly says `i, dilip d’souza, winner of several awards, emphatically state that i am for handing over kashmir to pakistan`.

siddiqui saheb, why do all the `widely-read` journos assume that non-journos are devoid of intelligence?

[...In the last two or three years, I have won several awards for my writing, all of which strengthens my conviction that my career move to writing was the right one!...]

my goodness! what is the world coming to?
but then, i guess, it is no fault of yours.

and do tell us something new next time, big d.

[...``I wish to make it very clear that calling me ``Farzi`` is not on. I will not tolerate...]

and then...it was only after intermission that many realized to their horror - the heroine, in fact, had never graduated out of high school!

dekhiye temporal saheb, main aapse aakhiri baar kah rahaa hoon ki sabki bhalaai isi mein hai ki is baat ko yaheen par khatam kar diya jaye.

varna naubat agar khoon kharaabe tak pahunchi to phir is baat ka faisala adaalat nahin, is desh ki janata khud karegi...

[...``it would help if you gave details and the context...``]

no, it will not help at all. been there, done that before – resulted in more spitting from you. for all i know, you might have written – ``bloody hell, all you indians sitting in usa never tire of flaunting your emotional attachment to india and indian muslims can`t even have emotional attachment to Pakistan? i find that reprehensible``

[...I am curious to know what is the difference between ``starting a battle``, which I am supposed to have done, and ``shaking the pot a bit more``, as you fancy doing...]

i wrote in continuation of my earlier lines –``don`t know about fighting battles though. starting a few is quite another thing...``

the reference was to myself. if you find subliminal messages everywhere, it is your problem.

two can play this game.

and about financial positions, etc...if you voluntarily provide information on your personal details, expect that information to be used in the interacts.

http://www.india-today.com/itoday/20010723/diplomacy.shtml

...In a letter to the then prime minister Jawaharlal Nehru, Jinnah had begged that the house not be demolished or sold. Some day, he hoped to return and settle there. Meanwhile, the house could be ``leased to a consulate or a small European family or a refined Indian prince for a rent of Rs 3,000 per month``...

uh..oh, `discriminatory to the core`, i say.

tahmed,

ah...yes, let`s put the blame solely on india for `stonewalling the un resolutions for 50 years`.
rumour has it that pakistan may have had something to do with it as well.

d_m,

[...As it is, you and are sitting here in North America while she has decided to stay and fight her battles in the land of her birth, which is probably more hers than yours and mine. Bravo, Farzna!...]

if i were as rich as she comes across as, (chauffeur driven cars, hanging around delhi gymkhana club, etc) i, too, would have been happily staying in india, the land of my birth and as much mine as farzana`s.

don`t know about fighting battles, though. starting a few...well that is quite a different thing.
