Caught In Between

Musharraf said it so emphatically: lay off, to all you indian rats, pathetic in your cowardly duplicity. Indeed as far as the history of the world is concerned, it will see India as the land which was first to crush human spirit with their cruel and degenerate caste system. Watch them and you will all symptoms of deeply insecure and humiliated people. To my fellow pakistanis, we are on our way to a qualitative change. Musharraf embodies aspirations of our pepole as no one has done before, with such sincerity. And to Indians, your small-mindedness is only matched by your evervated spirit. You will never amount to anything. This was a promise made by history and beautifully summed up by Hegel in Philosophy of History. To understand this phenomenon, I urge you to read his dialectic treatise on history.

An Aside on Benazir

Knowing the English language is one thing and using it effectively is another. She is completely devoid of imagination and intellect. It is shameful to see such glaring lack of intellect in her writing and her public speaking which borders on incoherence. Ironially, the soldier-general is much more articulate and thoughtful. The hand at the helm has a steady hand. We are ashamed to have elected her twice. Says as much about us as much about her.

The struggle for political independence in Kashmir is a

historic decision by one of the more pliant ethnic groups

of the sub-continent. This struggle will force many other groups to delve deeply into

their own sense of self and their history, a sense that billion hindoos have been

unable to appreciate or develop over the centuries. That the bloody struggle for self-control

and destiny continues is heartning and telling. It is Kashmiris making a

decision to sever ties with the `Area of Darkness`, which has no indiginous or

historical concept of State. Statehood imposed upon hundred of milions of hindoos by outsiders.

The british was so appalled by the deciet and degenaracy of the hindoos, they refuse to deal with

them in a humane fashion.

The people of this area of darkness were exposed to

many noble and energetic principles such as Christianity and Islam but both these forces

failed to raise the civility of hindoos or abolish cast system. Muslims and Christians constitute a large

minority in India but they are not obsessed with maintaining their racial purity such as parsees, because,

as many hindoos have pointed out, they are converts and as such still part of the general degenaracy.

There is something degenerate about the gene-pool of this land that breeds the worst of humans,

only slightly up the evolution chain from Africans but highly evolved in imparting cruelty and deceit.

This is actually the reason that in Pakistan despite all being muslims, the sense of self of one ethnic

group is different than the other. Self-respect is more on sale in Punjab than say in NWFP. Religion

can only do so much when it comes to an almost genetic disease of pathetic human behaviour.

Zaheer-ud-Din Mohammad Babur, the renaissance prince and figurehead of the Mughal empire had

to plead with his Turk/Afghan soldiers to stay this foreign land, so turned off they were by their surroundings.

His compatriots found nothing redeeming in this land. He himself is frank in his low opinion of the people

of this land: no gardens, no love for a civic life, no genius for building or mechanics, no candles etc.

What has hindoos being doing for last two thousand years? Why is that Marco Polo could not find a single

dressmaker in hindu-stan on his way back to Italy ?

He just scrached the surface: what he found was resourcesless people degraded by a enervating caste

system, unable to defend itself, unable to feed itself or be a torch-bearer of history.

Hindoos have never been the torch bearer of history. Persians, Chinese, Arabs, Turks, Afghans and ancient Egyptians

have been the torch bearers of human spirt and its advancement but never the largely populated hindu-stan, Why ?

We all know the answers when we come across one of their specimen: deceit, lack of courage and unable to stand

for any principle. These days they are delusional about their IT labour. This IT labour are the escapees of the

wretchedness called hindu-stan and no amount of gloss over is going to convince anyone, pakistanis

or Western. When I meet a hindoo here in USA boasting about India in front of a discerning American,

the American looks at me as if asking `Yes and what about the City of Joy`. You escaped and now shut up.

Harpeet #76,

You should be resenting me. Laughing at me does not make emotional sense, though you can do that too. God gave me the looks, the currency of universal acceptance, and I made use of it to reach many hearts including Indian. I came to USA with prime directive: company and exploration of womankind of all types

including African and oriental made difficult in in puritanical PAK. I understand that most Indian men dont get a chance to smell the perfume on a woman`s neck and my remarks can be seen to stoke such deprivation. I am just preparing your women for things to come or how it could have been.

I admire zen becuase of its simplicity and that japanese have nurtured the art of meditation (zazen). I am just allergic to all things Hindu.

They are just a bunch of talkers with no sense of adventure or kinship. One billion can not take organize a half-decent relief operation in Gujrat. Helplessness and resourcelessness.Sitting home on Saturday afternoon eating `pakooras`, making squelching sounds, hands smeared with foul smelling spices, the same smell that they carry into their workplaces. Whites look around, puzzled by this sudden assault on their senses.

They look at each other and smile. Not to worry, it was just a emaciated coder that just walked by. Watch out, he is going to give you this blank look and a invariably mustached smile.

By the way, please note that all this is tongue-in-cheek. Allow me to mix hate and love in some proportions. I am happy to stir the pot: throw in some hate for the hindu and love for their women.

Ref #40

I have never caused mortal emotional pain to any indian woman: infact I met several of them after they got married and they talked, surprisingly, freely about their husbands and conjugal life. Ofcourse, in matters of he/she, there is always the possibility of unrequited love. In retrospect, I was sought out by Indian women as much as I sought them out.

Lubna,

Your appreciation of motorcycles is heart-warming.

If I remember correctly, ``The Perfect Vehicle`` is about Melissa travelling through Germany on her

Motto Guzzi. Her observations are on the mark: the unity of biker and bike, the silence inside

the helmet, the super clarity, sheer exhileration,

the fear as the odometer hits 100 mph and then the blurring of existence. Condemned to be free.

I have met the most wonderful people as I rode through small towns in USA and Canada. The men appreciate the vintage and children/dogs are fascinated by the sound of the pipes. I rode through a remote truck stop west of toronto, in God`s country, where a man offered to buy the bike on the spot. You get the genuine lay of the land and its people disarmed by your vintage bike.

The brotherhood of bikers is one of most appealing

part of this hobby.

I plan to go to tour Southern Spain next summer atop a Ducati.

Where do you live that has wonderful bikes but disallows women to ride ? I always carry a red helmet on the side in case someone needs a ride.

Thank you for welcoming me. You are not the first

indian woman to do so. I spoke out of experience when I say ``their own women prefer Pakistani men``. I dont mean to sound predatory

but at a point in my college days, I sought out

Indian women of all religions, colors and personalities to perfect the art of seduction.

The more `laraka`(spirited) the better. Muslim women are the most affectionate and lovely

followed by Punjabi sikh(nee).

As far as Kashmir is concerned, I park all rationality and open-mindedness at the door of

identity for I know history is our side. Hegalian Spirit is passing though the valley and it will benefit us all.

Mahim,

You mentioned `Zen and the art of Motorcycle` maintanence`. Have you really read it ? It is unusual to come across a Pakistani woman who has take this route of self-discovery.What do

you think of Phaedrus`s concept of Quality. This book complelled me to buy my first motorcycle in USA; the same bike that transported me into Canada

on a nature trip, around Montreal and then to Toronto. It is the incomparable BMW R75/6. I was more like DeWeeses though with time I was able to

adjust the carbs :)

Friends of Pakistan,

Take heart in unfolding of history: the wounded and tortured beast that is India will be brought

down before our eyes within this generation. The

merciless cruelty displayed by their Army in Kashmir is for all to see. These people make very

small and mean gestures for a large nation. Personally, I have consistently come across degeneracy, prejudice and cowardice amongst their

brightest and the most educated here in US, all through my univ. days and now professional life. Truth, valor and honor is for the most part not part of their makeup. Their own women prefer Pakistani men. Despite all that is wrong with Pakistan, their is a segment with it which has locked eyes with destiny and will carry sub-continet in the direction of their making. We, the liberal western-educated will no more than helpless `tamashbeen` as this historic drama is played out. Personally, I am reconciled with such fate because other than myself the rest of my family decided to remain true to the land of their birth.

I am a kashmiri and there is nothing in India that will make a kashmiris want to be part of this decayed and ossified civilization. India as civilization died long time ago for they stopped dreaming eaons ago. A few software enginners, doctors, and coders will make no difference. They will become the next wave of labour, with another Naipaul returning home after coding a hundred years and writing another blistering document about this beast called India. It is time Pakistanis realized that we need to turn out backs to this degenerate civilization and boldly

chart our own place under the sun.

Relax and enjoy the ride. The man at the helm has

a steady grip.

I urge all Pakistains to understand the venom as

spewed by Eklavya (#13) in light of history of hindus of the last thousand years. Their degeneracy, inhumane caste system, general resourcelessness/helplessness and acute cruelty towards the vulnerable has earned them above all contempt from the all those who travelled through this land over the ages. Please take consolation in the fact that

these 1 billion degenerates (every people has its enlightened) will amount to nothing

in any near future as they never did in the past.

The meek Kashmiris have made a noble and historic decision, rare in this hapless/cowardly sub-continent, soaked in blood: self-determination. How noble and worthy a cause in a land that has rallied for a cause. All nations, worth anything have gone through this rite of passage. Kashmiris are the initiators. All of us, out of our element servicing the Western needs in return for material comfort will really not amount to much as far as when the history of this time will be written. However for all my callousness and guilt, I stand in awe at the suffering of Kashmiris and spit on the degenerate

collective phyche of the hindu for I see not an of iota

of nobility or honor in him. The shame and humiliation they carry is the sword of Democales that spurrs them to ravage those who cannot defend themselves and are grovelling squatters in front of those that are capable of retaliation. Pakistan and its people are now in position to retailate. You can

question all that that is wrong with pakistan

but donot question the validity of suffering

of Kashmiris. History is unfolding right before us and trust me, we the hand-wavers, western-educated etc need to be clear in our UNFLINCHING support to our brothers in Kashmir.

Marital Rape

A man/woman with enough intellect, faith in God`s sense of justice and compassion revolts against

primitive and fearful edicts of the written word, be it the bible or qoran. How did the jews and christians manage to reconcile their yearning

for salvation to a relatively sane, rational and

just social system where as we muslims are still

confronted by one aspect after another of Islam

which we find revolting, injust and cruel. It is for any impartial observer

to see that majority of 1 billion muslims are

imitating lifesytles of the primtive peoples of

7th century, not the greeks, not the romans, not the persians but nomadic and brutal arabs. What did they know about civilization. Did they ever

discuss what is justice, morality and other metaphyical questions like the greeks and persians. No, and now we (liberal chowkwala muslims) are sadled with this lifestyle that is

not affirmative but vengeful.

Seek your own salvation though as Satre said, you

will be condemned to be free

As much as I hate to admit it, Pakistani men, including myself, have a perverted and abnormal

view of women and sex. We dont think twice about

brutalizing weaker sex or any other segment

of society which cannot fight back. These same specimen of manhood are seen grovelling in front

of the `gora` men and even `gora` women because

we all know the pecking order !

Mr Rehan,

Are you preparing to discuss/interview other writers like

Intezzar Hussain ? I think it is a great project:

a nation is recognized by its native sons and

sophisticated, gifted and subtle writers like

two hussains are the torch-bearers.

I read `Udas Naslain` in my mid-twenties. Besides

being a tremendously sophisticated novel, it shattered my belief in Urdu being a unexpressive

language
