The Modi goverment has totally failed to protect lives in Gujrat. The goverment must resign immidiately and central rule should be imposed in Gujrat. And where the heck are the dammed CRPF, Army?A disillusioned Indian

``India banned the Tigers when they turned against India. You do have to agree that it financed them and supported them, as long as they were doing India`s work (Isn`t that what Indians keep accusing Pakistanis of?). And they are Hindu. ``
Get your cause-effect right, the LTTE turned against India only after the PKF landed in Sri Lanka. A thousand Indian soldiers died trying to set things right. I`ll give your arguments some respect the day Pakistani`s SSG start loosing men hunting HuM, LeT terrorists in the hills of Kashmir.

Offshore Angola is today the cutting edge of deep-water drilling and production. But then it is justified because the reserves are simply gigantic (in the range of billion barrrels recoverable)

Geological potential (if it exists) is very different than proven reserves. If you are interested you may check the NELP2 data.

Veeresh Unkil,
take it from someone who has ``matha patkofyied`` on the IIT doors!! Admissions at IT-BHU are though the IIT-JEE but it is not a part of the IIT act. U-Roorkee was changed to a IIT recently (2000?) but admissions through IIT-JEE are only from 2001 (Roorkee ran its own exam before that)

``P.S. Hoodbhoy is wrong about the number of IITs (there are six, not five -- one more was built in the 90s in Guwahati)``
Actually there are 7 now, Rourkee has also been designated an IIT. So we have:
Delhi, Mumbai, Chennai, Kharagpur, Kanpur, Guwahati, Rourkee
