I cannot hold my tears since I read this poem.

Scandalising the Pakistani Courts
Posted by Saidamalik Oct 28, 1999 09:52 am
Finally an article that I have been looking for all over the net. I hope Pakistani people will do something about this ``contempt of Court`` law. I believe in, and agree with, every word what Mr. Cowsjee said in that interview.

These judges should be ashamed for taking action now and not when the Supreme Court of Pakistan was stormed by PML hired goons.

Gardens of Stone

This brought tears to my eyes. I cannot believe it is written by someone I thought had no compasion for anyone but for himself.

Happy Birthday!

My favorite Internet site. You guys are doing an incredible service to the Desi community. I learned so much from this site. Before I felt alone the way I felt about Islam but now after being a regular visitor of this site I feel no more alone, I know there are a lot of Muslims who are good Muslims in spite of not believing what the mullahs have been teaching for centuries. I am especially thankful to one of your writers whom I do not see in your pages any more but who gave me information about another very good site which really strengthened my belief in Islam. I am also glade that I was able to find this site and got to read Shandana Minhas` work. Thanks to all the wonderful writers at Chowk. Keep up the good.

Mum’s the Word
Posted by Saidamalik Mar 22, 1999 11:54 am
It just reminded me of my return flight from Lahore to Washington DC of last month. I asked on the PIA counter to give me a seat in the front raw so I have some decent leg space, but when I boarded the plane a young mother with three children was sitting on the other one seat the leg space was full of all the luggage and two of her children were sleeping on the floor and I had no space to put my legs down. I tried to ask the attendents to move me to someother suitable place but with no success as the plane was completely full. I had to spend the next eighteen hours sitting side was with my legs on a very uncomfortable angle. I decided that day that never in rest of my life am I going to take PIA flight again.

Why The War On Ghosts Was Lost

I only wish that this sort of writings were published in Urdu newspapers. The people who are sincere as well as courageous to come on streets to protest don`t or can`t read English. The socalled leaders who bring people out on streets are so corrupt themselves that they would not like anybody talk about these things in public.
