Lessons From the Pearl Murder

Seems like Pakistan is the globaly, no...universal epicenter of HATE! The Pakistani national anthem should more appropriately go something like this...KILL THE ZIONIST JEWS, KILL THE MONKEY WORSHIPPING HINDUS, KILL, KILL, KILL!

Savages- there are barbarians at the gate!

Lets Destroy The Bamiyan Buddhas!

The Golden Age of the area now known as Afghanistan was clearly during the Buddhist period. Buddhism ranges from completely peaceful to moderately peaceful unlike OTHER religions. This best thing that could happen now is that the whole damn country converts back to that beautiful religion of its former glory. The current implementation of Islam would push anyone living in Afghanistan into the arms of Buddhism. Oh...except for the fact that you`ll be butchered if you have an open mind. The barbarians aren`t at the gate- they`re inside the garden. A great deal of people on this forum are surprisingly indifferent to the destruction of the statues. They have, in a display of complete unaccountability for the actions of their coreligionists, somehow twisted this all into a East vs. West thing. The only thing it points out to me is that the dominantly Christian West is sensitive to other religious communities. As for the world of Islam- why be out of character.

The Soft Option

I really don`t understand how Pakistan or any other member of the India-bashing Organization of Islamic Countries can bash others about human rights. It either takes complete ignorance to hypocracy or the balls the size of blimps. Read below:

Dear supporter,

RAWA rally was attacked by Afghan and Pakistani fundamentalists at

Islamabad today.

Many were injured and some of them seriously. And they have been

hospitalized. Some male RAWA`s supporters were also critically injured and at

least 17 persons in the police custody. Some women are missing. More

IMPORTANTLY a cameraman of RAWA has been arrested by the said

fundamentalists and his whereabouts is not known. Needless to say his life is in

serious danger.

For the moment, we URGENTLY ask you:

Urge the government of Pakistan to probe into the matter and give a

guarantee to save the life of the cameraman and get him released from the

hands of the attackers.

You may contact the following authorities:

Mr Naim Khan Durrani, Afghan Commissioner, Peshawar

Fax: 0092-91-9217076.

Lt. General (Retired) Iftikhar Hussain Shah, Governor of NWFP

Fax: 0092-91-9210751 or 0092-91-9210899

Mr. Abdus Sattar, Foreign minister

Fax: 0092-51-9207217

Lt. Gen.(R) Moin-ud-din Haider, Interior minister

Fax: 0092-51-9202642

Chief Executive

General Parviz Musharraf

CE@pak.gov.pk

Fax: + 92 51 922 4768

Pakistan embassy in Washington DC

Will let you know about any development later.

Kindest regards,

Mehmooda

India Unvarnished

The Hindus that are posting ridiculous backlashes to the authors objective analysis of history and tradition in India are being very unHindu indeed. During the Buddha`s time, Hinduism was not so dogmatic. New ideas were welcomed, old ideas questioned, and insight gained. The Upanishads were themselves written as a result of analytical discourse. Hinduism is not a religion that stopped evolving when some random person decreed that they had the word of god all to themselves. Therefore, Hindus should stop acting so defensive. I say question every damn thing. That`s true Hinduism. It`s a religion like Buddhism that evolves with the human experience- as humans understand more about their world. Buddhism was born from Buddhism during such a period of free thought. In fact, I`d say that the Golden Age of the areas now known (temporarily) as Pakistan and Afghanistan was during the Buddhist period. True human achievement has been sinking in these areas since Buddhism`s demise.

Hidden Hindus

Just another tidbit that goes to show- Pakistan blows!

``There were verbal instructions to eliminate Hindus``

This is the TRUE character of PAKISTAN. It has always been this way and always will be. In India, when anti-Muslim activities occur; many Hindus are the first to ask for restraint against their Muslim brothers. This is NOT the mentality of Pakistan. Pakistan has forever been about intolerance and bigotry- people are taught by the state to hate others. India has its problems, but it recognizes them and attempts to fix them. It is clear that Muslims in India will always be better off than Hindus in any current or former part of Pakistan. This is because seething hate dominates the psyche of Pakistan- nothing more and nothing less.

Facts don`t lie. One Babri Masjid is shameful, but the purposeful extermination of an entire peoples in Bangladesh and now in Kashmir (referring to the Pandits) is the legacy of Pakistan. At least the Germans of today show shame and earnest remorse. Pakistanis instead bathe gleefully in the blood they have spilt- and ask for even more!

The truth shall set you free.

Hey, ylh or whatever. I guess my complete post got cut off. I wasn`t singly out Pakistanis alone. You`re all a bunch of clowns! Look at any yard stick to measure by: literacy, infant mortality, anything. Also, as far as your brilliant comment on Canada- we don`t need to unify, it`s already the 51st state!

One simple comment:

If the Confederacy had won the civil war,

if the Catholic majority Bear Republic had gone its own way,

if mountain men dominated Texas republic had gone its own way,

if the French Catholic Louisiana had gone its own way,

if the Carribean facing aristocrats of South Carolina had not rejected their Tory ways;...

the US wouldn`t be kicking everyone else`s butt in every regard today.

Oh, woo is the subcontinent. Look at your fractious selves. You can`t get along with or without borders. The GREAT Pakistanis are PROUD of the fact that they HATE INDIANS and HINDUS. You would be laughed out of a US board room for saying such medieval bull.
