We 160 million Pakistanis are waiting anxiously when US will break in 50 pieces...
Maybe one of these Pak Am doctors will emerge as the American Jinnah (pbuh).

Good piece. But there's no reason to charge the Talibs/Islamists with crimes that they have not commited. There is a reason to believe that BB's assassination was not their handiwork.
Toofan Pai,
Marriott was certainly the handiwork of the Talibs (possibly the type that Zee sahib wud describe as bad Talibs) but their facilitators may well have been agency people.

Actually Jesus's message of love and peace is perhaps even more relevant in places like Bajaur and Waziristan. All the missionaries in places like Kandhmal shud be encouraged to open a branch there.

Correct. But I dont know whether India has got even the limited pondage structures to hold water back for a few days (at least on the Chenab). But I may be wrong on this.

Personally I am not convinced that India has blocked water on the River Chenab or Jhelum for the simple reason that we dont have dams large enuff to do so. (I would of course be willing to be corrected on this). More likely it is the result of poor rainfall or snowfall or some such factor.

"Gujarat" has a lot to answer for
OK, it has produced MKG and Narender Modi. But it has also produced the greatest Muslim since the Prophet and the greatest Indian this side of 1857.

Gujarati Muslims have not left Gujarat after the riots becuase they know that what happened was an aberration (even though state sponsored) and unlikely to be repeated. As a proof, even after Akshardham blast or the recent blasts there has been no riots. By contrast, KPs know that if they return they are likely to be targeted by jihadis and their sympathisers.

No one knows for certain how many people in Kashmir have been killed in the last 20 years of insurgency. Pakistanis themselves quote a figure of 70,000, which may well be an overestimation. And mind a fair number of these are war casualties (Armymen killed by jihadis and vice versa) and civilians (Hindoo and Sikh but a large majority Muslim) killed by militants. Yes, civilians have been killed by Armymen including some perhaps very avoidable ones, which is highly condemnable. But carrying out large scale killings has never been on the mandate of the security forces and many armymen have been courtmartailled for excesses. The conduct of IA men has been no worse than most armies in CI operations and certainly a lot better than US or Pak armies. Indians have never used tanks or helicopter gunships against their own civilians in Kashmir.
I am sure there are KPs who make documentaries on "Indian Army atrocities in Kashmir" but I can assure you that if and when Kashmir becomes "Azad" these KPs wont be part of that "Azad Kashmir"

A far more likely outcome is the violent upheavel, that Urstruly keeps alluding to, if things continue the way they have thus far.
I read this story about some Pak poet I think it was Faiz. A young man who was very disturbed about the state of affairs in Pak had gone upto him and told him something like "I am afraid if things go on like this, something is going to happen" to which Faiz (???) replied "I am afraid that nothing is going to happen and every thing will continue as usual"

As regarding the original Afghan shyte (1979-90) I am pretty sure there was no Indian involvement in military affairs and very marginal even in economic terms- remember India was a broke fourth world nation then.
Since 2001, there certainly has been some involvement of Indians but this is largely benign- building roads, power grids etc (basically infrastructure that your folks destroyed in the first place). There has possibly been some intelligence involvement but this seems to be mainly on the B'stan frontier for needling Pakistan in B'stan, certainly not creating mayhem inside AFGHANISTAN. But Amin sahib can elaborate on the Indians' role there.
