zeemax bhai, as we say in punjabi "eeNgRhi paRheeRNgRhi" (relationship dots) of the killer in picture connects with someone high up in the agencies. Does not matter he was Janghvi, LT, AQ, ISI, renegade soldier, or a loner. if you put adequate number of dedicated professional investigators with authority on this job, dots will eventually connect to sahib bahadur or someone working for him.

yeah more you look at the videos, more you think what the hell was PPP security and her protectors doing? She had a big red target marked on her forehead since the day she landed in Pakistan...looks like even she did not do enough to protect herself.

my uncle's gas station in down town Chicago has clerk window made of bullet proof glass. I don't think it costed that much but it has saved once the life of a student worker. I was wondering if BB was peeking out of the sunroof window all the time to wave at people, why did not someone think about putting a 24" x 24" x 24" little bullet proof shield over the sunroof window? that would have been one of the most effect yet least expensive enhancements to that expensive truck.

yasser, 63 is indeed a young age, though parents are never old. I don't know about others but as I am getting odler, I like my parents more and more...age gives you the experience to appreciate the hardships that your parents might have gone through for you. their old age is the time to repay them for their troubles in the form of comfort and respect. I am sure you would have been a wonderful son to be on his side in the years to come...it also sntached you of many many wonderful experiences and memories that were yet to happen.
our minds are designed to forget the truth of death..if we don't, it would be hard to live with constant fear. but death of a close person reminds us of this fact of life and forces us to re-evaluate our priorities in life...everytime I go to a funeral I come back much more wiser and humble.
It is unfortunate loss you had..but you will regain some of it back in the form of deeper relationship with your remaining family members. nothing is lost, it transforms and stays in our lives.

The way author started the article it got reader's attention expecting some honest facts from an insider. It turns out this oldman is still living in cuckoland. Shameless blame shifting and downplaying the atrocities. yes everyone was equally responsible...Sheeda from Mianwali and Gen sahib bahadur Rao Farman Ali khan to Yahiya Khan all were equally responsible. shame on you Mr Jafri...tangeiN kabar mein hai, abh tou kuchh sach bol jatay?

Irony is that it is the same idolatry reverence of Muhammad that made 7 yr olds to name the teddy bear Muhammad on one hand and adult muslims to protest against it on the other.
Imran Khan at LUMS
once chaudhary Ghanimat of our village went to see mela ChiragaN in Lahore...he had heard lot about the mela so he loaned an aTheyaani from Lala Mehar Chand's shop in the village, put some rice soup on his turban and headed for Lahore.
it was his first time in Lahore and Mela chiraagaN...poor Ghaama was very impressed by the lights, dhols and the crowds. While he was walking in the mela rubbing shoulders with other melis, someone cut his pocket and stole his aTheyaani. When he was buying jalebis at the halwai's shop he found out that his pocket has been picked..he got very shocked, depressed and angry and left for his village without eating anything, buying anything or enjoying any panghooRha rides. he felt cheapted and violated.
when he was entering the village, Mullah Ghulam rasul met him first.
mullah asked him "how was the mela chaudhary ghanimat?"
Ghaama answered angrily "mela moola kaahda si, bhainchodaN sara adambar meri aTheyani luttan lai keeta si" (what mela...bhaincho whole mela was set up to rob me off my atheyaani).
so this whole Marshal law thingie by Mush is a conspiracy to rob you guys of your aTheyaani. don't pay too much heed to the lights and sounds of this Musharaffi mela.

HP: It will be hard for me to believe that Amrita did not know Ahmad Salim's name even until 1982, because that poem and letters concerned Amrita Pritam and some other pro-establishment writers as much as Amhad Salim. That letter was at center of debate for long time in leftist Punjabi magazines. I would keep your info for the time being and look for colloborating evidence in future. Evidence could be in Naagmani issues between 1971 and 1982 unfortunately that is much before my time:-)

Lokraj, yes. and also the letter in "Hem Jyoti" asking Salim some tough questions. There is no way amrita did not know about Ahmad Salim...he has been mentioned and published in Naagmani many times. so I am wondereing whether HP met her before 71 or after 2000;)
