bokhari sahib,

i`ve enjoyed reading this article thoroughly, even though i have never had the patience to go through clarke or asimov`s books....they were just too imaginative! your work (as usual) has been good and enjoy worthy. there`s a group of people who are very keenly interested in such works and i wish you could hear them applaud! they will contact you soon! though i will never ever grow to like the idea of death but it is rather poetic to affiliate it to a pleasureable vacation...nice thought!

Doctor sahib,

I`ve read and reread your elucidating article. i must confess that with my brief knowledge it was a very fascinating experience! It is an applaudable effort and the beginning of a new era in chowk where we can share a clear insight into each other`s worlds and specialities. I can understand that a layman in your field will not grasp the concepts quickly but it is a relief that he CAN GRASP THE CONCEPT with a little patience and concentration. I know no book that could help him more without confusing him further. I am eagerly looking forward to the next part of this piece. In the meantime i`d like to share this one with a group of people who would be keen to comment on it. I`ll get back to you later. Good JOb.....keep writing.

best wishes,

Amber

doctor sahib,

`dekhna taqreer ki lazzat keh jo us ney kaha

mein ney yeh jana keh shayad yeh bhi mere dil mein hai`

Your poems are the fruits of an observent eye and a refined expression. Like a stone whirled at the serene lake of the mind, your poem is exquisitely and deliciously different. i`d only say that the nightclub concept is not new to me. I`ve looked at it for ages, but never looked at it that way! You`ve added a new perspective to a rusty outlook. It has a bitter tinge to its sweetness-the flavour that makes it a feast! so, when is the next poem coming??

best wishes,

Amber

The Judge

Very nicely written Saima!
I am sure that your message will help some Sairas who have been condemned to the hell of self conflict and self inflicted pain by the Judge. We women are at fault when we mistake injustice and maltreatment for moral and religious obligation. Though we are equally wrong when we fail to differentiate between obstinacy and upholding our self esteem.

Best Wishes,
Amber

So, We Are Nuclear Too!!

Yes, Saima
Let`s dare to hope. Let`s dare to build. Let`s care about Pakistan. You are right in the jubilation of the nation. But many hearts have silently bled within. This is a crossroad at which either we as a nation will thrive or we`ll perish. If once again history repeats itself and the leadership turns to tyranny and the masses remain intoxicated in enthusiasm, then let us hope that may we not live to see our ``Home`` break down. But if, ( let us kneel in prayer that may it be so)we come out of this political, economic and social crisis as a more self reliant and mature nation, somewhere in the heavans, the Quaid will smile with tears in his eyes...at last we did it! after fifty years of crawling Pakistan has learnt to walk! Ideas are numerous...but practical application of these are scanty. if somehow, we can get every person in our country to work, every child educated (privately if not in a formal instituition), if every Pakistani can get the basic facilities of life, then we can stand up and salute to the ``world sanctions`` and ask for a little more ``trouble`` so that we learn to rely on our worth. We are all the ``brains`` of Pakistan and the major part of the population is our muscles. Can`t we get our ``body`` to work efficiently and remain healthy after all the exertion?? we are all unsure, but we can have a faith in our individual efforts. we can be honest in our lives and professions. i am not interested in the patriotism that asks to devastate India. I `d give anything for a positive patriotism. Let`s surprize the world in ways that history can cheerish..in ways that our children can live to see and follow!

all my prayers,
Amber
