Do you really think that this time it is going to be different. With same robbers running the country, the time is not too far when people will start screaming to bring the Army back in power.Stupidity is to keep doing the same thing and expect a different result.
India Chalo - An Anecdotal Look at the Indian Economy
I have not read the India Chalo nor have the intention of ever reading India Chalo, however I can say this without any hesitation:
India Chalo is yet another example of extremely high Indian patriotism. When Indians talk about India, they forget or somehow overlook ground realities. A great nation needs to have several qualities, one of which is establishing Justice. I do not see Justice in India, Yes the courts are independent (unlike Pakland) but is there Justice? The plain and simple answer is a big fat NO (very much like Pakland).
So India Chalo might be a good fictional novel but this is the extent of it. The true sign of India becoming great is when all Indians in USA and Canada start to go back to India for better future.
Till Then, I would rather watch Harry Potter for fiction than reading India Chalo.

Jinnah and the Islamic State – Setting the Record Straight
Please do not get fooled by the name. The name is there to fool only the non-english speaking and illiterate mullahs and pro talibans in the Pakland.
Regardless of what one calls Pakistan, it is certainly secular in nature. Pakistan is free-er than USA and India combined.
This is why:
1) One is free to do the five pillars of Islam and even preach the religion.
2) Alcohol is available through the permit shops.
3) Prostitution is rampant.
4) Jirga and sardari system is also rampant, basically running a parallel legal system.
5) One is free to do honor killings
6) One can marry his daughter or sister to Quran.
7) You can even give your daughter or sister to your enemy if for some reason you have committed murder and now you are shitting in your shalwar and trying to save your life.
8) Build your house anywhere you like on anyone’s land.
9) Want to keep a weapon, no problem, keep any thing you want. Stingers are also available if you got the dough.
10) Bribes are now the law of the land.
11) Instead of hiring a lawyer, you can hire a judge thus making sure you get the outcome you want out of a case.
12) If you are fed up with the interest based system, no problem, we have profit and loss sharing accounts available.
13) Like to have more than one wife, you are free to have up to four at a time.
So why is Hoodbhoy is still caught up with this discussion about Islamic Pakistan or Secular Pakistan is beyond my comprehension. We are by any means SECULAR and beyond. In fact we should start calling Pakistan THE SECUALR COUNTRY in the world.

War Clouds Over Iran
Oil prices, with this type of disruption, will reach around $300 per barrel practically bringing the rest of the world into recession including USA.
This is just a begining. What they can do in Iraq and Israel through itheir proxies is also a disaster picture.

Iranian leadership knows if the bombings start on them then it is a matter of time before Iran will lose its infrastructure and the regime my lose it control over the country. So the Iranians will try to bring the pain upfront on their enemy. They will first try to disrupt the oil supply from the gulf. They will first start ground to ground missle attack on oil wells in countries like Saudi Arabia, UAE, Kuwait, etc. In parallel to this they will also try to disrupt the Hormouz Channel. They can silpmy do it by hitting one or two super oil tankers. This will cause an oil spill that will probabaly stop the traffic flow from the strait. They can also start dumping oil from Kharg island in the strait. 2 million barral a day will cause quite a slick in the channel making oil supply through the channel almost impossible. There is also a chance that they might put it on file by using white phosphorus igniters. Oil prices, with this type of disruption, will reach around $300 per barrel practically bringing the rest of the world into recession including USA.
This is just a begining. What they can do in Iraq and Israel through itheir proxies is also a disaster picture.

Truth Behind US-India Nuclear Deal
India buys 7.5 percent of total oil exports of Iran.
The full article is on the following link.
http://www.fpc.state.gov/documents/organization/70294.pdf
``India’s External Affairs Ministry reports that India-Iran commercial relations are
dominated by Indian imports of Iranian crude oil, accounting for roughly 85% of Indian
imports from Iran each year. The value of all India-Iran trade in the fiscal year ending
March 2005 increased by 36% over the previous year, reaching more than $1.6 billion (by
comparison, U.S.-India trade was valued at about $27 billion in 2005).13 Iran possesses
the world’s second-largest natural gas reserves, while India is among the world’s leading
gas importers. With a rapidly growing economy, India is building energy ties to Iran,
some of which could conflict with U.S. policy and the Iran-Libya Sanctions Act (ILSA).
ILSA requires certain sanctions on investments over $20 million in one year in Iran’s
energy sector. It expires on August 5, 2006, but there is pending legislation to extend it
(S. 2657; H.R. 5877), as well as to modify it (S.333 and H.R. 282). Under a reportedly
finalized 25-year, $22 billion deal, the state-owned Gas Authority of India Ltd. (GAIL)
is to buy 5 million tons per year of Iranian liquified natural gas (LNG). To implement the
arrangement, GAIL is to build an LNG plant in Iran, which Iran does not now have.
Some versions of the deal include development by GAIL of Iran’s South Pars gas field,
which would clearly constitute an investment in Iran’s energy sector. India currently buys
about 100,000-150,000 barrels per day of Iranian oil, about 7.5% of Iran’s oil exports.
It is also widely reported that Indian refineries supply a large part of the refined gasoline
that Iran imports. Gasoline is heavily subsidized and sells for about 40 cents per gallon,
and Iranian refining capacity is insufficient to meet demand. Such direct purchases and
sales of petroleum product are not generally considered violations of ILSA.``

Truth Behind US-India Nuclear Deal
1) Minimalize the Iranian influence on India by reducing India dependency on Iranian oil
2) Make Iran cash strapped as Indians will be able to produce electricity by Nuclear means thus will be buying less oil from Iran.
3) More influence in India due to dependency on US supplied fuel.
4) Weaker Iran directly translates more security to Israel.
Iran-Pak-India oil pipeline is already history as Indians pulled back from the project.
Why is US doing all this:
So when the time come for marching orders against China, India will not be able to resist.

Musharraf’s Coup - Seven Years Later
Congrats on a nice article. However you have not presented any solution. Just problems. Many Pakis already know that the general is not the right candidate for Pakland and they also know that we need to have democracy in the country. Knowing this they look at the long list of political ``leaders`` and hang their heads with shame.
If the available alternates are Bibi and Mian Sahib then I am better off with the general. Looking at the rest of the ``leaders`` who are sitting in the assemblies/parliament as MLAa and MPAs, I hang my head in shame. These leaders refused to even discuss the honor killing issue in the parliament. Ach Thoo. The only two honorable mentions who did want to have the honor killing issue discussed were Jamil Uddin Aali and Sherry Rehman.
So the question is, if the general is gone (sacrificing another C130?) who do you think is capable enough to lead the nation on the right path. I like to hear some names and their backgrounds.
I do not want democracy that comes with corrupt to the core leaders who are sincere to their pockets first and the nation later. On the same note if the nation is lead by Kala Chor and this Kala Chor is leading the nation on right PATH, He/She has my support.
