For a Pakistani citizen nothing can be more demoralising than this.

Soldiers flee second Pakistani post after threats from militants

ISLAMABAD, Jan 17 (AP) Dozens of Pakistani troops abandoned an outpost near
the border with Afghanistan Thursday after receiving threats from militants,
an intelligence official, a local resident and a spokesman for the insurgents said.
However, an army spokesman immediately denied that the post at Saklatoi in South Waziristan
had been evacuated. ''I strongly contradict this news and this post is in our control,''
said Maj. Gen. Athar Abbas. The conflicting reports could not immediately be reconciled.
The intelligence official, who requested anonymity, said the paramilitary troops fled the
roadside post without a fight after the militants warned them to vacate or face attack.
The official, who was in the area, said the troops had already reached a military base in
the nearby Jandola town. Maulvi Mohammad Umar, a purported militant spokesman, said the
troops surrendered after 500 fighters surrounded the post. ''We released them (the troops)
under the spirit of Islam,'' he said by telephone from an undisclosed location. ''
The Taliban have now hoisted their white flag on the fort.'' A resident in Jandola said
the troops had abandoned the post, citing accounts from other tribesmen who had passed by
the fort and seen it.(Posted @ 18:10 PST)

Both teams are bad.Any B Grade Aussie team can beat a team comprised of best players of both teams. I think Pakistan will do good in final, but that f*** shoaib akhtar needs to spend more time on field rather than at parties and saloons.

Re: # 64

TAhmedsahab,

Nobody knows the answer to your question. In case of India it is corrupt politicians and in case of pakistan it is the Generals. It is infinite loop. These 500 pound gorrilas are sitting on our back for 60 years. People tell educating and empowering masses may be the answer but that will take another 200 years..

In due course of time, Hindus will cease to be Hindus in the physical sense ....

You are free. You are free to go to your Kabrastan and Smashan Bhumi and any other place of mayhem and violence
in this state of Pakistan. You may use Kalashinov Ak-47 or zammokas that has nothing to do with the business of
the state.

Shree HamidM Sarkar,

Don't be in awe by grandpa Gopinath's intellect. Matter of fact Dadaji saw first opportunity to prove his manly prowess
on 4 different mid eastern vaginas. And he immediately jumped on the Ummah band wagon. Neverthless he did not foresee his action would produce so many piglets around the region. Anyway he did not believe the reincarnation theory
therefore he did not give a f.

Re: # 3

My resentment is not against the author or at this article, as I did not even attempt to read this article. It has more to do with Chowkie stakeholder's/mafiaso's decision to publish something that is less important than prevailing political issues.

[that is when people in pakistan will rise up......one, because the whole concept of pakistan will be at stake......two, because while pakistanis have no problem in being beaten by other countries, they go nuts when beaten by india......kind of like the hockey matches.....as long as pakistan beats india, even if it finishes sixth or seventh, people are ok (as long as india is eighth)......

India has already kicked Paki's rear end in every department and still there is no urgency from their side.

Economical integration with hand in hand with political integartion is the only solution. One without the other is abmysal failure.

Fellow Pakistanis,

There is nothing to rejoice for us Indians over what is happening in swat. Ironically the safest place for Pakistani Army is LOC.

Correct me if I am wrong. The problem with tribal areas is that they never integrated with main land Pakistan and it's culture. However great administrator Mr. Jinnah was, he made this great mistake. He never integrated the tribes in Ferderal main stream and gave them too much autonomy.

Stop all this philosophical crap!! Those Bangla Desis did not have real estate to bring with them, unlike kashmiris about whom Pakis have wet dreams that they will bring one to the Land of Pure.
