A Journey Through Our Conscience
Posted by yagacho Apr 8, 2005 12:41 pm
i am not a pakistani and was not aware of the hudood ordinance. i do not hold any anti-pakistan feeling, rather i think, pakis are very talented people who achieve a lot outside pakistan.

however, this pakistani law of hudood is garbage and should be thrown out of the legal system. what stupidity is this requirement of four muslim men of good moral character being witness to the crime. this is absurd and complete nonsense. if even one muslim man of good moral is present then rape would NOT take place as that good muslim man is morally bound to stop rape from happening. and then who is a good muslim man? how do we determine the goodness of a muslim and who determines that?

i think pakistani men and women should work towards goal of reform of hudood law and eventual repeal. educated pakis should take a lead in this action and work towards it in a well organized manner. women organizations, human rights orgs, legal orgs should work together to pressure the govt to amend these laws. this issue should be handled as a pakistani issue and not just a woman issue.
Three Tales Of Sufi Wisdom

interesting article, however couple of questions:

1. in sufi thot a mursheed is expected to follow his peer. however if the peer`s teachings raise doubt or appear to be contrary to the teachings of islam then shouldn`t mursheed reject the peer`s teaching?

2. islam is a individual based faith in the sense that one is responsible for one`s action. isnt it possible that the sufi way of peer-mursheed runs contrary to the individual responsibilty inherent in islam (what i am trying to say is - on the day of judgement one cannot say well someone advised me so i did that)?

Recipe for Anarchy

the author and all his fellow ``kacha`` wearing sanghis are all upset over the law & order problems in india. my question to the saffron brigade volunteers is why they were not raising these questions when BJP was in power. Dont these gandhi murderers remember that this government is 100 days old. so all the above mentioned law & order problems are a legacy of 6 years of BJP misrule and now UPA will have to clear up the mess left behind by BJP.

The gist of the matter is that RSS wallas are still frustrated over the fact that they have been booted out of the government and are hell bent on disrupting the functioning of the present government.

BJP is a terrible opposition party that is being a destabilizing force for the country as it always has been.

Abdus Salam - The Miracle Scientist of Pakistan

Mr Gill,

Nice article. It is essential to remember and highlight the work of very few successful muslim scientists of the present times. there should be role models for others to look forward to.

My opinion is that europeans tend to or prefer to ignore any contribution to sciences that has been done by non-europeans.
Dear Sisters, Meet Maria Sharapova

solitute,

are you A.Shiraz`s keep that you are replying on his behalf or are you Mr. A. Shiraz posting as Solitude.

ok tell me

1. if your lord ram shared his wife with all brothers is it cool for hindus to do so?
2. if shiva chopped off ganesha`s head because he was feeling horny then is it ok for hindu believers to do similar acts of kindness?

your comments on these questions about ``SANATANA DHARMA`` will be highly appreicated....

A. Shiraz,

Where are you. Have you tried a micro mini skirt on your on your sister/mother/chachi/phuphi/daadi/naani/khala/mausi/bhanji as i said before??

Dear Sisters, Meet Maria Sharapova
Posted by yagacho Jul 23, 2004 09:44 pm
Mr A. Shiraz,

I would seriously suggest that you get the shortest pair of skirts from USA (your dreamland) and put it on your sister/mother/chachi/phuphi/daadi/naani/khala/mausi/bhanji. After that ask them to go around the city in it, this will give them freedom that you want for your muslim sisters. Best place to start reform is home, so my friend start at your home and let the chowkwallas know about the progress.

HAIL NUDITY!!

P.S. - I have serious doubts that you are a hindu posing as a muslim....

Eagerly waiting for your response.

A Bold Agenda for United Progressive Alliance (UPA)

dost mittar,

you mention that `` majority community feel that the minority community has been spoiled by the “pseudo-secularism” of the Congress and left parties``.

i think in this election BJP practiced ``pseudo-secularism” much more than any other party. vajpayee in green pagdi meeting with maulanas, mukhtar naqvi as BJP spokesman, peace talks with pak,..... list is pretty long.

in my opinion due to these actions of BJP it lost its USP, that of being a party of hindus and for hindus. BJP was left nowhere as hindus saw it playing the same appeasement games that congress used to play and muslims were never going to vote for BJP.

farzana,

what a wonderful piece of work. excellent article, very well written and you have got it just right.

let me mention one point. BJP can play its game whichever way it likes but indian muslims are a smart lot, they view BJP as anti-muslim party, period. when the time comes to cast the vote it will never be on the freaking ``kamal``. few opportunistic asses like mukhtar abbas naqvi and arif mohd. khan dont matter to ordinary muslim.

the only thing lefties do is criticise, they have nothing in terms of a solution. the solution suggested by their prophet (mr karl marx, jewish by birth) turned out to be a failure. so what do lefties do now, just criticise. criticise everything and that is darn easy thing to do. criticise.

if a woman is choosing to wear clothes then why is mr nadeem so upset. if he doesnt like the channel then why not just change it. if a woman takes off her clothes then that is fine but if she is wearing it then that is religous extremism. that is loads of bs.

one complain i have aginst lefties is ``why didnt they come up with their own names?``. muslims have names like ahmad, abdul; hindus would be like anil, amit. similarly lefties should have come with some naming convention. the point is if a person despises any theology so much then he/she should have no association with it including their names.

veeresh,

given that hindus are so peace loving and hinduism is nothing but tolerance, how do we explain the following report by Human Rights Watch on Gujarat massacares committed by some peace loving hindus:

``Attackers also destroyed Dargahs, traditional meeting grounds for Hindus and Muslims and razed mosques. In some cases makeshift Hindu temples were erected in their place. In many places saffron flags, the signature flag of Hindu nationalist groups, were dug deep into mosque domes. Roughly twenty mosques were destroyed in Ahmedabad alone, many on March 1 during Friday prayers. Even historical monuments were not spared. According to the preliminary report of an Indian human rights fact-finding team:

The famous 500-year-old masjid in Isanpur, which was an ASI [Archeological Survey of India] monument, was destroyed with the help of cranes and bulldozers. The famous Urdu Poet Wali Gujarati`s dargah was also razed to the ground at Shahibaug in Ahmedabad. While a hanuman [a Hindu god] shrine was built over its debris initially, all that was removed overnight and the plot was [paved] and merged with the adjoining road. No authority claimed any knowledge about the entire episode. ``

``Dozens of witnesses interviewed by Human Rights Watch described almost identical operations. The attackers arrived by the thousands in trucks, clad in saffron scarves and khaki shorts, the signature uniform of Hindu nationalist, or Hindutva, groups. Shouting slogans of incitement to kill, they were armed with swords, trishuls, 65 sophisticated explosives, and gas cylinders. Guided by computer printouts listing the addresses of Muslim families and their properties, information obtained from the Ahmedabad municipal corporation among other sources, they embarked on a murderous rampage. In many cases, the police led the charge, aiming and firing at Muslims who got in the mobs` way ``

also, let me point out, a brave person fights one on one and does not need the police/PAC/CRPF and the whole bloody state to cover his ass.
A Case for Banning Polygamy
Posted by yagacho Dec 3, 2003 09:08 pm
why only polygamy why not ban zakat, that unnecessary 2.5% of annual income that one has to give to some poor buggers who cant make a decent living for themselves.

also ban five time prayers because faith is a matter of belief and if one is praying four times a day then that should be sufficient. why does allah want us to get up early morning and distrub our sleep.

and allow us a customised version of islam, one that suits our moods, schedules and individual tendencies. we will pick out the fetures we like and drop the ones that dont suit us.

HOORAY now i will be a good muslim because Islam is now as I want it to be!!
