"All sovereignty belongs to Allah, and Allah alone"

And what dont you think i beleive that? I dont care if its in Pak Constn or not i beleive that anyways. But i also belive that, that very same Allah has given me free will to interpret my faith, and to question and not just accept.

no one was jumping up and down with glee when the jamia kids were killed with that horrible phosphate stuff and govt had mass graves... even the most ardent secularoon was well pissed with fauj, but why do ppl like zee jump up and down with joy when other (God fearing and innocent) ppl are killed, just because one doesnt support extremes or a radical pov doesnt mean you can kill that person... there is NO justification for ANY death like this...

I deplore the way the govt. handled Jamia Hafsa, especially since they themselves allowed the guns etc to be taken into the complex. I also dont agree with Jamia hafsa peeps when they took the law into their own hands, the peeps who built the mosques throughout the city illegally should not have done so especially since the mosques had to be shaheed/knocked down, building mosques is not a game, it is an organised and sacred activity.

Also what would be your reaction if a few people participated in a 'sit - in' in an Islamic library demanding Secular law and Pakistan remove 'Islamic' from its title? You would not give in obviously! Why should some one elses Islam be imposed on the whole nation esp if they dont want it, we have already experimented with Islam and each time its been a major mess up.

But to express glee and happiness at the death of employees who are trying to support a family is nothing short of sick. Is there that much hatred in you that this makes you happy? Regardless of what you say, the negativity you feel towards your own country ppl and what those bombers did cannot be called Islam or anything similar, it is sheer terrorism just like the IRA.

At least with Arjun we know where we stand, but you are a Pakistani, with ppl like you in our country Arjun seems like a friend, and we dont need dushman. Cehennem will be filled with bearded ones and burka clads. I rememebr as a child being told a Hadith 'do not trust the mualvis of the 14th Islamic century' or something similar, know i now the Holy Prophet (saw) was right...

you and your ilk have left the muslimoon and become the kanjaroon... May Allah show you the path and guide you to righteousness and humanity, and lift you from the depths of hate you currently dwell in - Ameen!

May her soul rest in peace, Ameen!

I have heard of her and others through my Urdu A Level class which i did many moons ago, indeed now my years are ticking on, i have once more thought of entering the world of Urdu literature with the help of my Lughaat of course. I should look into reading more of her stuff. I remember reading stories of Manto, Rajinder Singh Bedi and Munshi Prem Chand, on my last visit to Pakistan i was glad to see all of these writers' works still widely available.

Ana what a plesaure to see you on here again, please do leave the address of your blog for us.

HP are you Sindhi? I had no idea, thats so cool so now i can ask you how to say things in Sindhi, i think its such a sweet language, i remember watching Sindhi TV in Pak and being able to understand a lot of it, though there was much i couldn't understand, but also couldn't figure out how you would pronounce the letters that have for noktas on them!

Stuka you can get Aag ka darya in an English Translation from Amazon.
The \'poor\' Neighbour

I recently saw a bbc 2 program on Partition, and there was a Lahori man who lived in Lahore all his life before and after partition, he said that the Hindus wouldn't even let Muslims drink water from the same well if they did they attached a pipe and gave it to them thru the pipe... There was a Lahori Hindu describing how his mother would never let her Muslim neighbbours into her kitchen at time of eating and would never eat anything from them, he also said it was this sort of behaviour that led to the creation of Pakistan.

As much as i dont get on with people like Atif and Zeemax, the fact is we are Pakistani and we have our own country and we can debate about how we want it to go, at least we have it and its ours there is no one treating us worse than untouchables... 'achoot se bhi badtar hamey samjha jata tha' were the words he used to describe how Hindus looked at Muslims... Shuker Allah Jinaah came and made our country, now i know for sure Pakistan was never a mistake and it was something that had to happen, look at Gujerat and Kashmir, Allah ka lakh lakh shuker haiN we dont live with that stuff.

This India Pakistan season has been very infomative, you hear the real stories and realise why our country was created. Even now look at how fascist Hindus are here on chowk, not to another race but their own race, Jatt, Rajput, Gujjer and other castes their own kind and look how vile they treated them...

Maybe when Hitler stole the swastika from Hindus to use in his campaign maybe he wasn't too far off from the truth cause this symbol, now, to me represents fascism at its peak...

No wonder so many religions took hold in India, becasue Hinduism as practiced today is itself flawed majorly, it punishes its own people, people are telling Muslims its time for reform and sure enuff it is, we admit that and are talking about it, but i know that Hinduism itself needs major reform, look at all the caste wars, this is the scourge of South Asia. Also the severly insecure 'i am better than you so dont touch me you impure person' attitude of its followers needs to change, until then they will never find harmony in their faith or country... this prejudice is its inherent flaw and it doesnt take a genious to point it out...

its such a shame, the root cause for the break up of India is the fascist faith of Indians... its saddening but now i can understand where all this vile hatred comes from within Hindu Indians...

Pakistan Zindabad!!!

Manto Bhai,

We had a lovely Pakistan Festival in Trafalgar Sq over the weekend, soooooo packed out, and i was surprised at how well organised it was and how well it went, tho the 'provincial' stalls were dissapointing on whole the whole event was really good and it was organised by the Pak High Commisson in London... am glad Pak is getting better organised and even the films are better, i will def. see this film when it comes to London... its about time Pak and it people found their place, same goes for the movies...

Why would anyone CHOOSE to be gay... what a stupid idea, who the hell wants to go thru all that trouble... sexuality is NOT A CHOICE...

the only ones that can choose are bisexuals cause they can be with anyone, heteros and homos dont have that choice

iron mask

if its not been confirmed... you can say with certainty it was al-queda or one of their groups that did this... the IRA have gone away, there is no other major terrorist threat, it really can only be these ppl as they are the reason UK is on high terror alert constantly now...

What it needs is another Messiah with the power to raise the dead.

We need to be our own messiahs... stop waiting and start living!!!
