Hey Bina...amazing article!!and as for what u may be doing wrong...there may be some problem with ISP that cant correspond with the chowk site
Question Authority
first of all..who are u ppl to judge whether i am a morally corrupt westernised person?my article highlights PAKISTANI music in case you just understood the fact that i was a teenager(supposedly with no brains/morals/and loads of big bucks)and decided to classify me with all the dopeheads out there.
There is a lot of good Pakistani music out there, and a lot of them ahve made it big professionally..for ex; Vital Signs` Dil dil Pakistan was voted the 3rd best song in the WORLD. And thats just pop...do you people know how much Pakistani Rock is being appreciated abroad?People from as far away as Lebanon are appreciating Entity Paradigm`s music even tough they can`t understand the lyrics.
Which girls did you see on the website posing as TRL groupies? To my recollection, they are none. And even if there were, maybe they were just having a good time, but of course our society is so close minded they dont approve of girls going to concerts/rocking...or any forms of enjoyment. But that is another argument alltogether and this discussion is not up for grabs here.
I have no intention of pleasing my teachers; i cant be like one of those typical students who buter up their teachers. I would rather speak the truth.
And as for social work goes, again, who are you to know? I could be a full time volunteer at an NGO/orphanage?I could be an orphan myself. I could be anything or anyone but the point I have tried to highlight here is authority, how students defy authority and how music, especially PAKISTANI music, has helped us find an outlet to release the frustrations residing inside us and decaying us till we become typical ``Yes,Sir/Ma`am`` products of the corporate world.

i totally agree with the author. i grew up in the uae, my parents spent 16 years there, and even though it seems like a paradise at first, whats the use of living in a place where you don`t get treated with the basic respect you deserve? - tainted
