Every incident of Jinnah`s marriage and its failure, I have cited, is from Pakistan Govt.`s site. You can easily look it up. If you have problem with any particular bit, say so.

Your aspersions about Feroze gandhi are from Right wing Hindu `Sword of Truth` who believe that Nehru was a Muslim, Feroze was a Muslim and so on. Do you have any other source? Who is this guttergoo family, you claim to know personally?

``This is called accepting dissent``

In Indian Punjab, we call it `` Majboori da naN Mahtama Gandhi``. Jinnah had no control over Dina`s decision to marry just like her mother had decided to marry Jinnah when she was not a minor. Stop putting your sanctimonious spin on it or at the very least stop your `keep spinning dude`s for me.

There is not a single love story in Punjab that is not tragic. None of them compare with Jinnah`s heartbreak by Ruttie or of Ruttie`s destruction by Jinnah or of Sir Dinshaw by both of them.

``It`s not a well publicised fact that as a young student in England it had been one of Jinnah`s dreams to play Romeo at The Globe. It is a strange twist of fate that a love story that started like a fairy tale ended as a haunting tragedy to rival any of Shakespeare`s dramas.``

It would have been alright if things were limited to a `King Lear` or `Macbeth` The heart broken man, who emitted butterflies when he opened his mouth, went on to play the leading role of the worst tragedy in India with a cast of millions.

`` it is often said that Feroze Gandhi was actually Feroze Hassan ... and this I have heard from Indians ... and also from Mian Iftikharuddin`s family``

You call that evidence, Manto or is that the norm for the Pakistani Lawyers?

``Keep spinning dude... keep spinning``

Are you saying Wali Khan wrecked Jinnah`s marriage? Why drag Wali`s opinion of Jinnah into all this? We are talking of Jinnah and the females in his life. Was Jinnah`s eyesight failing that he could not see Ruttie`s flimsy gown, that evoked censure from a european woman?

What happened in 1922 to separate Ruttie from Jinnah, four years after their marriage? If you do not know, just say so. You can have some guesses though. After all you have been married about four years and have a daughter, except that you are eighteen years youger than your Hero.

Dear Manto: No it is not a pointless escercise. Your poor Hero was a broken man not because of Gandhi or Nehru but because of his own wife. I did ask you a question about Feroze Gandhi being Muslim though. I suggest that you do a little more research into Hazrat Jinnah`s love life and spend a little less time what Nehru did to Indira`s marriage or what Gandhi would have done with Kasturba and Lady Wellingdon in hypothetical scenarios. Gandhi was roaming around half naked anyway by then.

There are two versions of Lady Wellingdon`s story. One is that Ruttie`s boobs were falling out of her flimsy gown and she ordered a stole for her half nakedness. The other is that it was cold and Ruttie did not have a shawl. Lady Wellingdon merely ordered a stole to keep her warm. Typical of Jinnah to find insults even in acts of kindness.

I am surprised that you do not know of Chimmun Lal despite your life long study of Jinnah and confuse him with Dewan Chaman Lal. So when did Jinnah`s marriage go sour and why?

Mantolives #101: Why should I destroy the man`s reputation? I have asked you some simple questions about your Hero`s love life. You with all your books should be able to say yes or no.

Watch out for your friends , who try to act like Jinnah. How old is your daughter now? Maybe it is too early to worry.

Imagine if you will the impossible. Suppose your wife packs up with your daughter right now and goes back to San Jose and refuses to get back to you. How much pain will that cause you? What caused that horrible pain for Jinnah? Who was Chimmun Lal and what role did he play in Ruttie`s life in France and England?

``This is called accepting dissent...`` may cover it in your opininon, but it can unhinge strong men. Was Jinnah unhinged?

``the article is mediocre. Below your and kaka`s standards. ``

Of course kaka ji. Your standards are way too high, not to be aspired for by first time writers like Salim but who is this BJ? Did you get him in Tijuana? LOL..

I am waiting Sadna. Hurry up. Can not be here all night. Throw your best punch but be prepared to handle my counterpunch too. You know I am an SOB, you said that yourself.

#139 Sadna: ``Yeah yeah, only those approved by God aka Salim`s chaprasi aka mannyd can legitimately comment on this article. But it is still a humorless one.``

At least God`s Chaprasi can laugh. You are just a humorless idiot, who has to struggle so hard to come up with even a decent insult.

God`s Chaprasi blows his nose at your silly antics and will let loose HP`s wrath on you if you do not do better.

#99 Zeena: Yes I agree with you on Indira.

````If I die a violent death as some fear and a few are plotting, I know the violence will be in the thought and the action of the assassin, not in my dying......!``
After the attack on the Golden temple, she was advised to replace her Sikh bodygurads with Gurkhas. She refused. Probably she knew her death was imminent and she was ready to irrigate the secularism of India with the last drops of her blood, as told to some BBC people a few hours before her shooting.
#137 Sadna:
``Yes, but an article is published on chowk to explicitly invite readers` comments and your comments don`t change my opinion about the article. fyi, people are not going to praise an author or his article simply because that author`s friends are rude to those who don`t. ``
Yes, but.. yes but .. yes, but.
No there are no buts or ifs. I have a right to post my thoughts on your comments, however rude YOU may think they are. I have no desire to change your views on anything in the slightest, but other people should know that your commenst are motivated by old hurts and insults.
You better get used to rude people if you are going to step out on Chowk and I am the biggest SOB of them all.
Sadna #134:
``mannyd #133
I am not answerable to you for what I post here. If Salim_Chauhan doesn`t want comments on his article he should not have published it. ``
I am not answerable to you for what I post here. If Sadna does not want comments on her comments about the article, she should not have commented in the first place.
#132: That was funny Giani ji. I do not know what is about some females they will remember the imagined slights from nicks banned and deleted from thirty six years ago. Remarks of sadna in #131 are again sour grapes. If Sadna is such an expert on humor, why not set an example.
Write a funny piece about baby killers in Kashmir, Sadna and set an example. You do have some modicum of respect for Paki Jihadis. Ask Samina about Gul sahib.
At the special request of Poker Bhai, a pictute of Indira Gandhi with the fake racist Gandhi:
Indira was four years old when her grandfather and father were jailed first. This is about the time Jinnah was ploughing his field in England. Her mother was jailed soon after and the jailings became more frequent. Of course it does not compare to what the Muslim Leauge or Jinnah was going through at that time.
#96 Zeena ben: Thanks. I read your post #87 again. Yes you did mention about your mother. Sorry to hear about her demise at such a young age.
You should write a FP article about them some day. That will be far more interesting than some movie review by you know who.
bjkumar #127: Samina is utterly confused in jumping to conclusions. She thought I was Salim at one time. She thought Dw was Nikki today. She thinks Pokershark is Rsaxena. She loves Islamic terrorists the world over and is angry that anyone would make jokes at the Islamists` expense. ZahraJ is just a slightly refined version of Samina.
Now both Samina and Zahra can be excused. Afterall Allah did have a reason to be condescending towards the females. Masadi can explain it to you.
What is your complaint? What, when and where was Amrita`s picture published by Tipu sultan and why is it bothering you so much?
You may very well be Ram Lalla`s gift to the art of interacting on Chowk but I find your basless charges against Salim and haughty attitude towards others just plain stupid.
# 126 Samina : ``Same goes for pretty much most of what shows up on fp...chowk.com doesnt actually want to deal with the people who come up with the original idea...they want a bollywood knockoff of it....
Now LAUGH....``
Not true but so what? Thanks for permitting us to `Now LAUGH`. HAHAHAHAHA.
As Hamzad has told you, you are free to start your own website and show the world your original thoughts. Do not forget to give Kaka his corner.
How are Gul Sahib and Laden Sahib these days? Any phone calls from them?
