Bhutto’s Judicial Murder Revisited
Posted by joieya Apr 6, 2008 12:00 pm
Re: # 145
Hi bji,
The poisonous views stated down by you are not your own certainly but merely an outcome of one sided propaganda upon which your generation was brought up.
This is quite clear that you are totally ignorant of the subcontinent history and the freedom movement as well while stating Jinah to be responsible for the partition where you totally forget the well know cabinet mission plan that was accepted by Jinah and rejected by his opponents albeit Congress or in other words an alliance of upper caste Hindus to subjugate Muslims and scheduled caste of your community.
Responsibility of the violence lies on Brits primarily. They were the rulers and responsible for the seamless, just transition of power.
The brutal killing of thousands of Muslims in Gujrat was also responsibility of Jinah, right?
Yes, " All men/women are created equal "
But then their minds get plagued with their environment and especially when they do not have courage to broaden their vision and think independently beyond their inherited hatred.

What a sick mind you are jp. Plagued with hatred and no constructive thoughts. You are a waste and shame for this forum.
The New Bedfellows

You are neither a Babar nor a Mufti !!! You think a corrupt leader could be the best choice of primeirship???

I think if BB will continue its deal with General , she will lose more day by day. NS+IK+JI ( Right wing alliance ) will grab maximum seats provided SC grants permission for landing of Mian's and its respected by the sitting government.

Re: # 13

Yes and let’s cross our hands for the upcoming events, uniform and election of Mr. Musharraf by the sitting rubber stamps. Judiciary has to be very shrewd and organized to outplay the tyranny.

Re: # 9

You have got a wrong mindset. Its negative to be fair to your post. There is no ethnic bias in this case which you are reffering to.

Well, this is a landmark judgment by Supreme Court of Pakistan against a military led government. The honorable judges deserve salute from a nation which is practically deprived of basic civil rights. A best decision under the circumstances.

But Pakistanis should not waste the zing of this legal and constitutional movement. They have to be more organized and a great responsibility lies on the shoulders of judiciary now. They have made an example for other civil institutions and they must carry on.

A Collective Failure to Fail

The article has fairly a good voice among the slogans of death first and then grief cycle after the exit from WC.

I recollect that French football team was the winner of 1998 WC but they were elimianted in the first round of 2002 WC itself. There was acute criticism but no `` Arrest `` slogans or bizarre stuff that we observed over the last few days.

We must remember though that day to to day life has become so futile for the so called `` common man `` of Pakistan that the only cheapest escape available is media hypnotic sport of cricket. This is the only window of fresh air for many amid of now ever chaotic circumstances in almost all walks of our society.

I think you are totally misquoting Inzimam. He was saying this to the audience ( LUMS students ) and not to the cricket team mates. Nonetheless, I do not support Tableghi Jammat`s agenda though but it should be purely a metter of choice.
Marriage in Hiding

Good articale and makes a lot of sense. The thing is these ME societies are undergoing a BIG change. The generation gap is perhaps at peak here. First of all , they underwent to a process that made them rich without any hardwork or planning. They sarted pampering their people ( I am talking about oil based monacrhist eceonmies ) or otherwise its slow poisionning. What I have observed is that people are getting richer materially but becoming poorer of the poorest spiritualy and mentally. I do know a single Arab colleague or acquintance who is not leading a double standard as it is mentioned by the writer. Extra marital affairs are there and these leads to hypocracy. They do not want to loose their honur while sitting with family and diwaniays and at the same time have their private clubs and apartmets meant for the other activities. Mostly they have women from less rich Arab countries, poor girls who are jobians and are being grined in the process. So when men are out with other women, this is but natural for their women to lead a double standard lives. Now the younger generation with their eyes dazzled by the most fercious attack of Western culture doubled by the wealth and being ignored by the parents are heading nowhere. Socitiey is becoming suolless.

A Master, you find, is self content and well settled in life and in NO trouble of any kind.

You ``find`` him like this or he ``is``

`` Waris Shah mian Rab karm kare aais joag wich museebtan bharian nii ``

`` Maha Dev toon joag da panth baniya karra kathan hai joag muhiim mian
Koar bak baka sawad hai joag sunnda jahih ghoat key ppeni naam mian ``

Temporary Marriage in Islam

``Commenting on this incident, Darabi expressed her disgust as follows: “I found this law barbaric and inhuman for several reasons, First, the woman’s feelings and rights are not considered and she is forced to be raped for one night by a total stranger. Second, the idea of a man paying another man to ravish his wife for an entire night is appalling. And finally, in the cases where the Muhallal does not divorce the woman, she is forced to live a life in misery (unless the Muhallal happens to be kinder than her ex-husband).”

I dont think so. Its always with mutual consent i.e. with the will of the woman. otherwiase its merely deception.

You are not only barinwahed, tunnel visioned but also a big advocate of lawlessness. You forgot that the mob led by BJP leaders made a big joke of Indian justice system as well as showing their hidden extremism.

I am an eye witness to the destruction of temples in those days. That was a spontaneous reaction to what happened in India and was not justified either.

I can`t comment on the dozens of temples being destroyed in recent years as not even a single such incidence is well known.

So the first part of my previous post seems fine to u

`` Pakistan was created on the same day when first Muslim landed on sub-cont ``

Why are Indian policy makers so narrow minded? Akbar is respectable but not others?
Taj mehal , red fort , Agra palaces are `` mughal buildings `` and not Muslim architecture?

Much is needed from the moderate Indians to influence not only their think tanks but also to educate the masses so that sad incidences likes demolation of Babri mosques are not repeated.

Reminds me about Archimedes of Greece and his famous Eureka. There defintely was a state of his mind where he forgot everything and danced naked in the streets. What was that?
