Its obvious Indian Held Kashmir is not a normal Indian State because its is a occupied state - to make Kashmir part of Indian Establishment India did everything she can for more then 5o years but can not control the freedom movement in Kashmir and Insh`Allah will never can .
Yes maybe phyically Jammu is part of India but does people who live in Jammu thinks of themselves as Indians ? No way --

Central Birmingham, United Kingdom.
Birmingham is the second largest city of UK and she homes one of the biggest Pakistani and Pakistani Kashmiri population in whole of Europe. Naturally , we in Birmingham we died million times when we heard of this earthquake in a country which gives us identity , Pakistan.
I woke up to open my shop at 6 am in the morning , at arround 6:15 am people started to come to my shop to ask for phone cards for Pakistan , came four or five people worried , I was thinking when I heard our local mosques loud speakers * it was for the first time in UK , I heard mosque in UK using loud speakers* it was Molvi Sahab that kind hearted soul,UCE educated person calling for ` for donations , for earth quake ` he could hardly speak , crying he spoke of devastation in Pakistan . I was shattered , I wonder if it all happened in Karachi ? * as I came from there * but it was Islamabad and almost half of Northern Pakistan , I shook my head thinking it must be a small one as always , things will settle down . At arround 10am, our neigbourhood was hushing towards me to check whats wrong with the phone cards which we sold in the morning , as call were not nothing through . Then came news that Dadyal , Mirpur , Chakswari suffered minor damage `thanks God` couple of mosque domes came down but nothing serious. Then came a figure of 5000 and I was shocked , whats happening ? then Muzzaffarabad, Balakot,Islamabad ` Allah , whats happening , whats wrong ? ` this can`t be my country ! but this has happened ! whats next ? Here I would like to add that areas near NWFP suffered most dustruction , Muzafarabad is one example ; Mirpur and Dadyal came into plain areas thus they surived.
Birmingham is boiling , so is United Kingdom , everyone is denoting with open hands , in the charity box in my shop in 3 days I collected more then 3,000 pounds , the small mosque collected more then 12,000 pounds , local primary school and secondly school collected 3,000 each - this is the money which we collected on just one road in Birmingham within 3 days - despatched to Pakistan . It`s intresting because the Gujratis in our area has totally ignored this earthquake incident as people who died are `non-living things` , Irish are pinching in with donations and the lady I know whos quite popular donated 120 pounds and is helping us too . The Evening Mail ( largest regional newspaper of this region ) had started a campaign as well . Yesterday , one of my customer , Gen. Sec of Kashmiri Fed. told me he collected 2,ooooo pounds in one day , he was crying with hapiness .
The two box in my shop displays a small note ,
` Abhi Nahi tu Kabhi Nahin , Agar App nay mulk ke ajj madad nahin ke tu app Pakistani kehlanay kay la-yekh- nahin rahah-en-gay , hum kabhi bhe British nahin ban saktay kyoon kay hum `British Pakistani` hain , thay aur rahangay`
Indians Do Not Like Each Other

a true story ,

my cousin opened this conveniece store in Hall Green Area of Birmingham which is where most Irish Families are settled but now asian family is settling down ....
my cousin`s neighbour is Mr.Singh who owns a huge conveniance store and next to a convenience store is another newsagent owned by same Sikh Family .... who thinks they own the whole road ..and when my cousin was opening the shop - Mr and Mrs. Singh was quite p*****off at us ..
After opening of our shop Mr. Singh and we had this fierce competition hes big but we know how to tackle them and doing well very well. Our biggest supporters are Pakistani Community and Gujrati Community ( who came from Kenya and Uganda ) and to our surprise the Sikhs also stopped comming to Mr. Singhs shop ... this amazed us as we always were in a impression that our people always supports others but to our surprise Pakistani Community supported us fully and stopped going to Mr. Singhs family even if we don`t have anything what they want. Mr. Singh asked one of his Sikh brother as to why he goes to a Pakistani`s Shop and don`t come to his , Sikh`s reply was ` woh achay loog hain aur humay jutt wasay bhe pasand nahin ` - my conclusion is that Indians don`t support Indians but Pakistanis support eachother I think its because of same religion and by the way the hindu gujrati are our biggest supporters and hate Sikh cimmunity .
Communal Stereotyping in Bollywood Movies

Vivek bhai and others ,
I am not against patriotic movies and let me assure in Pakistan if we make movies and dramas about wars with India , Pakistani Directors projects enemies ( Indians ) soldiers as proffesional army men and theres this respect for them ... where as Indian directors does the opposite which I assue is lack of knowledge ...bollywood projects all Pakistanis and Muslims in India as ultra religious with beards wearing shalwar kameez , bollywood projects Indian knowledge about Pakistan which is so not true .....

Pakistan Bashing Movies ( PBM`s ) is something very old now - PBM`s was first started with the movie called ` Border ` and then there was this chain of movies - formula was make movies with patriotic themes in order to get sucess like Border - one or two did good but rest failed. Sunny Deol leads the pack in PBM`s because he doesn`t have what it takes to make a movie hit like Sharuk or Khan pact which don`t make or take part in PBM`s .... but things changed after peace talks ... but its alright ..again movies reflects culture and politics - this will happen until world ends.. peace

General Musharraf goes on Struggling for Legitimacy

harish ,
bhai - shaib , although you are someone who belongs to a totally different country let me tell you and this is something even the press reps. in Pakistan accept there is more freedom of press then anyother so-called first world country. As far as Dawood Ibrahim is concerned yes, he is somoene we had been using and he is one of our main contact in India - the Indians knows it , Americans know it ( because he has helped even Americans in India let me assure you ) and the world knows it - so as far as any journalist writing about national intrest is concerned thats a no - no in any country and this is excatly I along with 2/3 of Pakistan lauds Mushraff that he is someone who won`t sacrifice national intrest.
babu bhai-jan,
comeon we are a nation which I assume is selfish in giving credit , I think one should be fair and not extreme in criticizing anything - credit should be given where its due Mushraff although someone who is from army did lots of good for the country . No one is perfect so there are good and bad things about everyone...

reply 5,6,7 and to all Mushraff critics,
Agree or not for whatever reason Democratic Leaders acted as Dictators , remember what happened to Jang Group in Nawaz Sharif time ? Mushraff is not Zia because Mushraff supports freedom of speech and media plus wants to get rid of Jehadis - Mushraff is not Yahya because Mushraff is not irresponsible and finally Mushraff is not Ayub because Mushraff stands up for smaller provinces and supports freedom of press ....... legit or not Mushraff is reality ..the fact is my friends here don`t see for unknown reasons is that in 90`s Prime Ministers from PML and PPP lost the plot and acted liked ` khuda`s ` and that Nawaz Sharif was in line to break Pakistan from Punjab because we in smaller provinces started hating Punjab more in Nawaz Sharif`s tenure....Mushraff is a bridge between inter-provisional harmony agree or not!!!! yes, no one wants army infact I hate army presence in civilian affairs but when things should be put in order I would welcome even a jama-dar or a hawal -dar to take Presidency of Pakistan and put things in order - .... there are nothing such a principles and legitimacy in real world - I would like harish , bbabu and shishapa to stop acting like bachays and cry baby. ( thankya , kuch samajh mein ayaa ? ya pehlay wale bhe gayeee? .. hopeless! )

bhay-ya legit or not Mushraff is President, who cares about being legit or not in todays world ? was occupying Iraq legit ? are we living in a ideal world ? here is a guy , whos been more then lucky to be alive and kicking and managing our country ... for me he is someone who had / and is acting as a better leader then others. Yes everyone needs powers I do , I am sure if given a chance you will grab presidency its in human nature ... don`t look at him as someone who just want to stick to the president seat look at Mushraff`s reforms and what actually he has done ... I think for now atleast Mushraff is one of the best leaders we ever had !
O’ Karachi Part III

well theres this iMAX cinema in the making in Karachi - we will all hear about it very soon - I am sure things are changing for good in almost every part of Pakistan and it surely is happening for the good in Karachi thanks to Pres. Mushraff`s support and MQM government specially Dr. Ishrat Ibad Bhai`s personal intrest ... at a same time Karachi Nazim Mr. Naymat Uncle did I must admit tried his best with the best of intensions altough he never had the right support because he always knew he is Nazim of Karachi because MQM bycotted the local elections - but credited must be given to him where he deserved . Karachi`s biggest problem today are street crimes... which should be tackled a.s.a...
as far as cinemas are concerned , who gives a damn.. we got cables :) although iMAX would be good anyway ..cheers

2005 UK General Elections

As someone who lives in Birmingham ... lemme give you guys from a Brummie`s point of view ,
Birmingham had always been a Labour safe ground thanks to Pakistani community there who always supported Labour from years but this time was different because of Iraq War ...... we had this Respect Party of George Galloway campaigning in Birmingham who created quite a fuss in England and specially in Birmingham ... Respect`s candidate was Salma Yaqoob a lady which I hate to admire because of her bold stand against War in Iraq although she lost but took 10,000 of Labour`s precious votes from Sparkbrook Area of Birmingham. Labour lost a seat in Yardley area of Birmingham to Liberal Democrats a party which is projecting there party as a mixture of Tories and Labour - Liberal Democrats snatched atleast 7-10% of Labours votes from all over UK.
Here I would like to add that Pakistani Community voted Labour anyway because Labour still advocates immigration and Labour specially Tony Blair eased marriage - visa process when he came into power.
There this thing in UK Politics that Tony Blair will in a couple of years time will hand over No. 10 to someone else ....maybe his chancellor who had always longed for No.10 for years.... As a Pakistani , I see British Politics as a role model because here politics is done on issues - council tax , tax relief , immigration and anti- social elements plus law and order situation were the main issues in this election. I would also like to say that in this election specially the Pakistani Community played a very positive role and systematically voted for MPs who opposed war in Iraq and advocated for the solution of Kashmir cause.

Sexual Harassment in Karachi: Whose Fault?
Posted by labyrinth1 Apr 7, 2005 08:25 am
Karachi comeon we have to accept is like any other big city got lot of manics but how often we hear about rape in Karachi ? as compared to lets say London city where there is a average of 2-3 rapes in a week reported God knows how many rapes happens .. ......Karachi is not perfect as far as sexual harrassment is concerned obviously this is a part of every society in West sexual harassment is there and in worse forms and its bad worse then in India and Pakistan . I think we still are better then Goras to this day atleast we have respect for women present in our society now there are cases of gang rapes and more gang rapes but this happens .
We don`t live in a perfect world this goes wrong and this is we have to live with in every society if we don`t we still have to learn it - no need of crying !
