Boom-Box Mentality
Now, let`s take a very simple approach...every country has two primary assets, one is natural resources and other is skilled labour..rest is secondry. A country can only grow by utilizing these two sources effectively and efficiently.
In Pakistan`s case, the lack of proper opppurtunities made us export our skilled labour to other markets but we cannot simply ignore them or remittances send by them.
Remember theese expacts is a great untapped source of skilled nationals. Although we are slow in industrilization but a skilled labour force is already ready and waiting to support and manage an industrilized pakistan...thanks to these expacts..

Dear Writer i am surprised on your premise of disregarding remittance having any ``longterm`` and ``sustained`` affect on economic growth...Now, let`s take a very simple approach...every country has two primary assets, one is natural resources and other is skilled labour..rest is secondry. There are more then 7 flights DAILY that shuttle between Dubai and Karachi only... which mean 1 flight in aprox.3 hours. The fare is cheap and i know people (including myself ;) ) who go pakistan for any odd reason and one of that is food craving!

You and for that matter all Pakistani women should be grateful that Pakistan is now governed by President Musharaf who clearly accepts that Hadood Ordinance is faulty and requires drastic changes... Infact a committee head by Justice retd. Majida Rizvi has already done the home work and presented the required amendments long time back. The only thing now required is will by our legislators..

Cover-Up of a Gang Rape by the Military?
and there is also no doubt that after the crime there were attempts to protect the criminal by some influential persons but considering the general corruption and nepotism that prevails in our society...we cannot simply generalize that the cover up was official from army...every one of us try to use our ``contacts`` whenever is possible and the criminal did the same thing..!

Aziz Narejo you have actually labeled your hidden agenda by labeling this article...that gang rape...a no doubt a very heinous act...was not done by ARMY but an individual who unfortunately is a part of army...but your article heading suggest that the rape was committed by the whole army.. Its like when a sindhi commits a crime and we will say all sindhis are criminal..and there is also no doubt that after the crime there were attempts to protect the criminal by some influential persons but considering the general corruption and nepotism that prevails in our society...we cannot simply generalize that the cover up was official from army...every one of us try to use our ``contacts`` whenever is possible and the criminal did the same thing..!
