Fancy a Wedding?

I always found myself suffocating while attending desi wedding ceremonies. All unnecessary rituals and splendors appeared unbearable to me. I intend to set an ultimate example of simplicity on my marriage. Either larki bhaga kar lay jaoon ga or I shall invite only 100 people. I would rather jump off a plane (with dulhan and molvi sahib to do ‘Qabool hay Qabool hay’ in the air with parachutes on) than indulging in all those gota kinaraz…

Nazar Sahib, I have read your story when you were flying over Karakoram Mountains and your brand new fighter aircraft ran out of fuel because of a massive leakage. That was a close miss. A pilot’s life involves so many risks. You should post that story on Chowk too.

Amma and the Clock
My Nani Jaan, was a chalti phirti alarm clock for me. She became my roommate after my elder brother left Pakistan for Canada. During my exam days, she used to wake me up at tahajjud-time for the last revision of my exam. In other days, I was forced by her to offer prayers five times a day. I always woke up hearing her reciting Quran in my room. She was the best roommate.
She is alive and in good shape mash’Allah. Unfortunately, she can’t read anymore.
Regards
