Try reading about the number of people killed on allegations of blasphemy in Pakistan. Try reading about the number of people languishing in Pakistani jails on charges of blasphemy. Go to a muslim country (Saudi Arabia, for instance) and try converting people to another religion. Then you will know why a ``kala angrez`` like me uses a forum such as this website.
The crimes of Bush and Modi have nothing to do with this discussion, which is about the backwardness of the Ummah. Pointing out the idiocy and hypocrisy of the Ummah does not amount to approval of the crimes of others. (This is a concept difficult for Ummahites to grasp).

Just a few clarifications. I was born in an educated muslim family in a very conservative muslim country. I have lived in both muslim and non-muslim countries. I have not read Huntington`s book so I cannot comment on his civilisation model.
