Excursions into dystopia
also most of them lack proper ``planning`` when broadcasting material on their channels. they dont spend ``time`` in brainstorming what shape their channel will take, what content will it have, what kind of people will work/how to hire them and so on and so forth. they just want to get their liscenses and go ``live`` completely unprepared and without any idea as to what they`re supposed to do there.
i do see ``some`` potential in ``some`` channels, but only in a show or two. thats where it begins and ends. as for the adds, yes, they make the thought of switching to a desi channel extremely repulsive. i also blame the advertisers and the marketing individuals responsible for those adds for adding to that effect by making them so incredibly boring/ridiculus (<-- spell check please) that one feels offended while watching them.
as for these four: Aamir Zaki, Fasi Zaka and Sajid and Zeeshan... they`ve always been your favorites. even though fasi`s has nearly ruined himself and the reputation of his intelligence by writing that absurd column. his articles on marketing however, are a pleasure to read. but i seriously dont know what went wrong in the column...
i have to ask u something, what about the mekaal hasan band? you appreciated them greately when they came out and all of a sudden you... dont? how come?

i personally think these ``channels`` lack a long-term perspective and want to reap as much money as they can asap, right now, at this very moment. hence the adds. ``sacrificing`` a tiny bit of the revenue so they can ``work`` on good programming and establishing a good ``reputation`` of their channel, is an idea that doesn`t seem to occur to them. also most of them lack proper ``planning`` when broadcasting material on their channels. they dont spend ``time`` in brainstorming what shape their channel will take, what content will it have, what kind of people will work/how to hire them and so on and so forth. they just want to get their liscenses and go ``live`` completely unprepared and without any idea as to what they`re supposed to do there.

I loved this piece. especially the details and the way Darya Khan`s brother rationalised everything. This was definitly an eye-opener in how people get brain-washed into becoming so-called extremists.
When Romantic Love Does Not Mature
some of them are inherent within myself.

Filming the Prophet
i have studied religion in enough detail to know that mustapha didn`t do anything that may be considered sinful when making the film, in fact i appreciate the effort that he took in making it and the way he went out of his way to consult scholars during the making of it to make sure he wasn`t going to hurt any muslim sentiments.
for people who cant understand that, i feel sorry for them. their version of religion does not allow for them to be able to live peacefully.

one of the movies my mum made me watch as a child was the message so she could give us a visual picture of how it was than. and i still love watching it. i have studied religion in enough detail to know that mustapha didn`t do anything that may be considered sinful when making the film, in fact i appreciate the effort that he took in making it and the way he went out of his way to consult scholars during the making of it to make sure he wasn`t going to hurt any muslim sentiments.

Pakistan Bans Blogspot
*bowing down*
i was devastated when the supreme court ruled out .blogpot.com
and even if i cant post comments or see the blogs in their original format, i can read them...
... the ban is ridiculous! completely and utterly ridiculous!

Mistaken Identity
its also about writing what comes to you naturally. if too much concentration had been placed on the technical aspects, than that piece of writing would not have been from the heart and therefore, would not have been ``real``.
i was affected by your writing. ``touched`` if you may. and i hope you continue writing the way you do.

sometimes i think people forget that writing is not always about the correct grammer usage, perfect paragraphs and in consistancy in a piece of writing (cohesion-i wish i could italicise it), its about how well you communicate and how your work has an impact on other people. its also about writing what comes to you naturally. if too much concentration had been placed on the technical aspects, than that piece of writing would not have been from the heart and therefore, would not have been ``real``.
i was affected by your writing. ``touched`` if you may. and i hope you continue writing the way you do.
