Satanic Verses
I have read a book of Salman Rushdie...his opinion about God is poisoned. Moreover he generalizes Mullahs as self serving idiots, but then his insensitivity towards muslims is shameful.

I havent read your whole article, and wont bother to, But saying that denying Salman rushdie a right to speak out his heart out about something Muslims are too sensitive about, is being naive.I have read a book of Salman Rushdie...his opinion about God is poisoned. Moreover he generalizes Mullahs as self serving idiots, but then his insensitivity towards muslims is shameful.
Thank You Bob, Thanks Inzi!
I agree with you, I seriously doubt that if woolmer hadnt died in the process, he wouldnt be as celebrated. I would even say, if he Had indeed died, but after the world cup and not during it...He would just have been a liability best forgotten (Not that he doesnt deserve the credit he is getting)

Digital Desis or Giant Managers?
My point is that even though India boasts of having millions of ``qualified IT`` professionals, these scores of young people are only fit for low key call centre jobs where all you have to do is read out from a teleprompter. Their definitely lacks quality, now just because an Indian charges ten times less salary then an american does, gives good reason for Bill Gates to open more research centers in India doesnt mean India is the cradle of IT Intelligence. Most of the students are in the business because there are jobs in US for IT professionals; and Americans and Europeans are not doing IT because they know that IT companies will probably hire an Indian who will work for 10 times less, so as much proud u might get of being IT Queens, you simply are exploited.
I am not claiming that Pakistan produces high quality graduates all around, but then we are not making such a fuss of it.....are we !

Hi, i wanted to make a small comment about the difference of Indian and Pakistani ``IT`` professionals, its purely out of personal experience, I met a so called ``IT`` professional from India who was hired under me in dubai, i being from Pakistan was quite interested about knowing the IT boom in India, and was surprised to know that this guy who had a diploma in IT from one of thousands of Institutes in delhi self admittedly said that he knew very less about the subject, his knowledge of computers was surprisingly limited to using free email websites and some chatting clients, otherwise he hardly was an expert, let alone the reason he was hired without an interview by our ``Indian`` Manager. Hi, Nice article, but who is this loser Salim.....
The Weight of Water
Enjoyed the article, very inspiring...the ending that atleast i was expecting , although was not different, but a bit extended, Maybe you should write a sequel, What happens when she meets her mother. (Not trying to dictate what a writer should/shouldn`t write), but a bit curious about Zara, meeting her mother who suffered also.
