A Teacup in My Hand
even if a woman does not reserve the right for talaaq while signing the nikaak contract, she always has the right for khula....
since u seem to be not so familiar with the Islamic Shari`ah, let me tell u this, the wife can ask for khula for no reason at all, but can not ask for divorce on the basis that her husband has married another woman....
now go and do some homework to learn the difference between talaaq and khulaa....

We need to give up on our individualistic lifestyles and bring ourselves to a more responsible social level where we can see homeless children and instead of viewing them as `dirty little things` actually feel some mercy and love for them and try to incorporate them into our social web.
Internet Relationships – Blessing or Curse?
but there r always those who wud argue that the covering he has in an internet comunication is not available in real life and hence he will feel more insecure to talk in real and will eventually lose any chance he had of improving his ccommunication skills.
dont know who`s right here, i guess it wud be a per case scenario more than a general one.

i believe internet interaction allows for many a shy person (in real life) to open up to a more relaxed communication and hence improve his confidence in speaking out even in the real life. but there r always those who wud argue that the covering he has in an internet comunication is not available in real life and hence he will feel more insecure to talk in real and will eventually lose any chance he had of improving his ccommunication skills.

Questioning the Hadeeth
Well, Quran does not ask for separating sexes. Put hadeeth out of the picture and you can still be a good moderate muslim while dating your girlfriend. Music is pretty much allowed in absence of hadeeth and you can get away even with zakat. Dress-codes are not mentioned in the Quran so it makes more room for modernization.
The list can go on and on. But the very people who narrated hadeeth and compiled the Quran for us and if we doubt they made mistakes in hadeeth than let us not hold high our Quran as authentic.

It is my observation that hadeeth is being rejected by people who wish to call themselves moderate muslims. These are people who wish to play it safe. They do not want to desert religion and risk Hellfire and at the same time they do not wish to be burdened by the responsibilities of practicing religion. How does rejecting hadeeth help?Well, Quran does not ask for separating sexes. Put hadeeth out of the picture and you can still be a good moderate muslim while dating your girlfriend. Its heart-breaking, bring tears to eyes. Sometimes humans fall lower than animals. May Allah bless the poor child and give her the bets place in Paradise and give her family the strength and courage to overcome this event. And let us pray that our country, our people, can some day bring justice to our land and actually punich such hideous crimes so that people may atleast fear the penalty of committing such crimes. It is very sad indeed. But it is a reality. We must fight to end it.

Hey JC, won’t you smile for me?
But, you can`t argue with such people. They want proof for everything. Tomorrow they might say that Jesus (as) never existed and was invented by Homer. And guess what, Jesus (as) would still smile.

The `Jesus is dead` theory is believed only by the small groups called ahmadis and the other called pervaizis (or Quraniyeen), both of which are considered non-muslims by the mainstream muslims. So, the Islamic view of Jesus (as) is that he did not die, and Quran has enough material to justify it and hadith confirms it too. But, you can`t argue with such people. They want proof for everything. Tomorrow they might say that Jesus (as) never existed and was invented by Homer. And guess what, Jesus (as) would still smile.

We`ve got far more important things to worry about with regards to religion than such petty issues.
But you know Farzana, I don`t think Jesus (as) would mind smiling at you if you called him JC. But at the time he is smiling all his disciples would be frowning.

People react in a funny and hypocrite manner to such things as who portrayed what religious character. You`ll have a guy who has never gone to church screaming about who played Jesus (as) and you will have this guy who has never followed anything what Muhammad (saw) said, but will be the first one to react with anger when Muhammad`s (saw) character is assigned to a `sinning infidel`.We`ve got far more important things to worry about with regards to religion than such petty issues.

I also agree with many people here who think that so many coincidences occur only in Bollywood fantasies and not in real life. A black pajero is something that I have never seen. Perhaps it just doesnt come in this color in my part of the world.

What I gather is that if it had been Pervaiz instead of Adnan who had swept her to the room, the next 3 hours would have remained the same, except the baby discussion which would have come up with Adnan later in the night. And what kind of a woman fails to recognize her own husband`s voice over the phone?

The solution is not to kill people who raise fingers, but to show them that they are doing so wrongly. What incidents like this will do for Islam is that next time around the commentary will not only include the Quran verses on naked bodies but also Van Gogh`s dead body will come up just to spur more hatred for Islam. Van Gogh acted like an idiot, and his killer has done no less damage to the image of Islam.- armughal
