urstruly even thought i totally disagree with musharraf`s military politics but it is ture that he is very unlike the kind of dictators you say. That why he has supporters among leftys like Paracha.

Zia was harsh for generation of leftisits Paracha belong to ... but why sudden u-turn by supporting another dictator ... you say you were willing to burn American flag when afghan jihad was going on against soviet backed Afghan regime but now what happened when Americans attacking Afghans opposing American regime?

ahsanhilal if you take notice of nature of analysis of this article it is Marxian...Paracha no matter what shade of left he has shifted upon cannot shrug his habit of Marxist analysis.

Romair I may agree with you that Pakistani economy growing but sir how can you say that number of poor decreasing because it is actually other way round...but that is how modern systems of so called economic growth work.
