Thanda gosht is my favourite Manto story and it was nice reading translation, but whole idea that it ios revenge from muslim preception is very overkill. just about reality of partition which was tragic on both sides.

No I do not think so, today PTCL ppl said they will not destroy communications but strike will go on however there was no news of stoppage of privatization.
The Aftergod
``Secularism is that which seeks the development of the physical, moral, and intellectual nature of man to the highest possible point, as the immediate duty of life — which inculcates the practical sufficiency of natural morality apart from Atheism, Theism or the Bible``
So my point onl;y was that secularism is different from atheism thats all.
According to same dictionary secularism is....
The improvement of this life by material means.
That science is the available Providence of man.
That it is good to do good. ``Whether there be other good or not, the good of the present life is good, and it is good to seek that good`` (English Secularism, 35).

Sir if it matter of deffinations from dictionary I respond by defination of secularism taken from christian dictionary.......``Secularism is that which seeks the development of the physical, moral, and intellectual nature of man to the highest possible point, as the immediate duty of life — which inculcates the practical sufficiency of natural morality apart from Atheism, Theism or the Bible``
So my point onl;y was that secularism is different from atheism thats all.

You said it navedhaqi, it is foolish from bbegining for us to even think that mai will ever get any justice and that Mushy`s enlightened moderation crap actually has something to do with cases like these.

But why is it assumed that secularism means godlessness? It a habit of our mollaas that they try to confuse people between atheism and secularism.

Alright here now come the self claimed keepers of the faith and god`s soldiers with their typical narrow minded crys of blasphemy, naqsh saab I have very high respect for you so please do not destroy my respecting image of you by making noises the kind we in Pakistan are sick of hearing from so many myopic mulaas. If you read carefully it is clear that the story is suggesting the end of god Satan and religion as we know it and doing so for what god originally stood for.

Brilliant absolutely. This just has to be the very best way and in a way darkest way you have yet again pleaded for a ``godless/religionless world`` and I loved it when you suggest to do so more for the sake of God than humans. Great piece of writing, sir like a twisted sci-fiction opera....
