Elusive
this is a very thought-provoking poem. you have the makings of a true poet...my two questions to you
in passage 1 you express:
``In the jungle lies the guiding gate
Under heart`s molten hidden core``
Is this ``guiding gate`` a spiritual reference to heaven (janaat) or just a fantasy-based ``eden`` of somekind ?
and my second question is regarding passage 5, where you write:
``Worship`s end
Denial`s friend``
Is there a religious undertone behind this?
Im just trying to gauge to what level religion/spirituality inspired your poem ?

``it is needed from a girl who is obviously buying time and leaving everything to fate``
does not hold water.
i do not think ``the girl`` in dusk is leaving things to fate, like Mohsin hamid`s mumtaz she is craftily weaving a plot, witness how Ozer writes:
“She” absorbs the ‘All hail’ speech, breathing in his words like Himalayan air- She`s no Palin mountain-climber. Purposely pretending to be distracted?
her purpose-laden pretending to be distracted is a sign of ulterior motives

interesting to note that p almodovar also espouses a similar tarantino-esque genre to his film-making

As when I read this article for the first time, I really think your style echoes that of Mohsin Hamid. You build up the ``moths`` of society such as the urbanites ignoring the beggar, the rowdy macho ladish lads in the bar and the pseudo-intellectuals whilst creating ``smoke`` in the form of the uncertainty shrouded around this girl and her wavering commitment.

Great to see you on Chowk babez ! I loved reading ``Dusk``. When are you coming to visit in Houston ? Loaaads to tell ya.....
Congratulations on winning the essay at the Pak High Commission in London ! I neva hear it through the man himself......Which clubs are u promoting these days ? I misss uuuu....
On your article, do you feel Blair will fulfill his pledges ? Apart from Gordon Brown, what are the other obstacles is he likely to face ? Surely the vacuous rhetoric by the Tories will prove no hindrance ?
