Sorry, your challenge does not make any sense. Why would a person of faith ridicule his or her own beliefs and still hold on to them? That is not the point of this article. The point is when a person realizes that something is not right / logical / moral, that person should be allowed to make his case FREELY without any fear of reprisal.

Re: # 11

``Religious blasphemy only shows the norrow mind of the person and the inner conflicts of his personality over spiritual matters either due to wrong interpretations of the faith or religion or simple lack of religious knowledge. ``

And the intolerance of opposing point of view by religious police only shows their own insecurities w.r.t. their own religion.

Re: # 37
Whole purpose of this article which is suggesting that every individual must have an unfettered right to abuse, insult, slander, and vex anyone and anything but the same individual should have no right to protect himself or what he holds dear when he is the target.

This is a straw-man. It follows logically from the article that the same principle that allows every individual must have an unfettered right to abuse, insult, slander, and vex anyone and anything also gives the right to the party being slandered the right to question and argue its case without being constrained by censure or censor. No one said that only one party has the right to blaspheme.

I personally am against the Darwinian theory of evolution as i`m in no mood of relating my ancestory to the primates.Isn`t it blasphemic?

No it is not blasphemic. Merely idiotic. YOu have every right in not only believing what you want to, but also to speak out loud about your beliefs. Let there be an open debate. Let all sides present their views. Let the rest of the population which has a neutral opinion on most issues decide for itself what view it wants to go with. Finally whatever is born out by factual evidence will win out.

Agreed. Let people be free to speak about what they believe in. Say NO to sheep mentality and conventional wisdom!

Excellent, excellent article. I 100% agree with this. I would suggest that Blasphemy should not be limited to just religion. Let`s question everything. No idea / thought should be safe from scrutiny. Let`s also question the so called moral values. Let`s question the conventional wisdom. Like why is being `religious` or `god fearing` is such a good virtue? What`s so good about being `patriotic`?
