Re: # 819 Zeemax

`Brother`, that slavery was too merciful - it reduced your subcontinental ummah that was once much larger and proud into 3 statelets. I worry, two more statelets may yet come out of our western wing.

Re: # 818 Folio
Absolutely! The singers are all full of `Muhammed ke sipahi...Islam ka jhanda...``. You get the drift.

Re: # 814 :.. once the internal issues are addressed...``

Brother, it has been 1400 years, and we are `waiting` with bated breaths for `internal issues to be resolved`. Hasn`t happened yet. How much longer will you torment us with delays?

I meant to write, `proud` (within quotes). Oops. Folio, take the hint.

Re: # 762 Zeemax

``...Such persons will be put to sword, slaughtered, or burnt to death. Their women and children will be taken captive. Nothing short of allegiance to Islam will be accepted. ...``

Shabash, beta! Shabash, Muhammed ke sipahi! You make us all proud! I also highly appreciate your comment in #696 where you wrote, ``...the provisions which support Islam will prevail because the constitution also guarantees that no laws will be promulgated abhorrent to Islamic injunctions....`

My heart glows with pride when I read such awe-inspiring language! I feel like breaking into a qawalli, ` Ae Islam, tujhpar hamara ehsan...``

Re: # 706 Tahmed32

`Brother` Tahmed

Now that you have acknowledged by nobility, I will clarify: My use of the term `brother` was in the same spirit that OBL and Zawahiri normally use. (I should have added quotes when I first used the term).

In meantime, enjoy this fine song by
Mawer Sultana
. It is a personal favorite. Especially, the part about `...utha Islam ka sipahi, liye Islam ka jhhanda...`

Re: # 698 Tahmed32

``self-appointed rulers rather than by elected representatives who can be elected out of office``

Brother, as long as the provisions of the Holy Quran and the Sunnah apply who cares who the ruler is? After all, he cannot be smarter than the word of god!

Re: # 696 Zeemax

``...Zia unwittingly opened a pandora`s box. ...``
Brother, it was not Zia - the Preamble is from the 1973 Constitution. Going further back in time to the Objectives Resolution of 1949, you will see that it proclaimed, `Muslims shall be enabled to order their lives in the individual and collective spheres in accordance with the teachings of Islam as set out in the Holy Quran and Sunnah.`
Allah hu Akbar!

Report back immediately if preamble of Pakistan constitution cited in #690 is still in effect and has not been abrogated by Presidential decree!

Re: # 685 Tamed

``...you think these individuals know better than the lawyers on what is in the constitution of Pakistan?...``

PAKISTAN CONSTITUTION PREAMBLE
``Whereas sovereignty over the entire Universe belongs to Almighty Allah alone, and the authority to be exercised by the people of Pakistan within the limits prescribed by Him is a sacred trust;``

Wherein the Muslims shall be enabled to order their lives in the individual and collective spheres in accordance with the teachings and requirements of Islam as set out in the Holy Quran and Sunnah;

So....yes, these individuals know better than the lawyers on what is in the constitution of Pakistan. Koranic knowledge trumps the law or any law created in Pakistan.

``What they`re setting up is the form of government as envisaged in the present constitution of Pakistan``

Well said, brother! Remember, Pakistan ka matlab kya? La illaha allah la!

Hazrat, but that is exactly what you do yourself all the time when you don`t answer questions on weighty matters!
