A Whiter Shade of Green

If only Mr. Urstruly and people like him would start making as much noise when their jihadi brothers blow up hundereds of innocent people most of whom turn out to be fellow muslims.
Stop sounding like Qazi Hussain Ahmed. I`m sure you are more intelligent than that.
It`s so strange how you guys are always raving about stuff like Wana, Waziristan, F-16s, Dr. Qadeer Khan and never let out even a squeak when jihadi`s blow up mosques, kill women and children, or even when things like, crime, rape, heroin smuggling and usage occur right under your high and mighty noses. Shame.

All said and done, but dont we wonder what the General has done about things like the Zina Ordinence? Backed out in haste and fear. But yes, I do agree with you in saying that the awareness levels of the issues you have talked about have somewhat risen.

Easier said than done, Che. But that status quo point of yours is on the dot.

Paracha,
Well, I think Hamid Gul is still dreaming about it.

Guys, you are taking yourself a tad too seriously. Why not indulge in some rugged, rough cyber sex and get it over with. Oh, you already are.

Paracha
Chinese pragmatism? My god, comrad, you are really going all gung-ho for Mushy. As you said a thin line, so I guess you wont mind being invaded by the Chinese through the Karakoram rather than the US from Afghanistan.
Was Muslim Astronomy the Harbinger of Copernicanism?

Gill, you being a freethinker seem a little too defensive and apologetic. Please, they don`t throw people in the bin for science anymore, so relax. And for heavens sakes, enough of how great us Muslims were when we gave a shite about science. I respect what you say and how you say it, but let`s have a piece on what science means to Muslims today, apart from our obsession with Dr. Qadeer. That`s mad science.

Osman ... urrrm ... How many kids have you fed? Just a question. You can lie if you like. I`ll believe it like that rant of yours about the real issues. No fan of Mushy baby myself, but the question is is Zia really dead?

Lol@ Hamidm2
Maybe that`s why NFP has decided to finally put down his Das Kapital and cheer for a dictator. Because he is sure this is the only chance Pakistan has got after Bhutto to get the mullahs` asses shaved!!!!

NFP
Yes siree, I certainly smell a sell out. But I do admire your ``perversity`` in the way you came out all guns blazing for Mushy. Fine, Zia`s dicatorship was horrible, on this account you are more than convincing, but I wonder don`t you feel now that you are trying to come clean as a Musharraf supporter, all those struggles and fights you fought against the Zia dictatorship and all those fiery leftist tirades in your articles of the 90s stand to be such a waste?

Khuram, you have tried hard and this reads smoothly. But I will have to agree with Bee Jay. Too many cliches and I think you are being too polite about the subject.

I`m sure the author meant this ``lite`` effort of his to be taken seriously. But it seems most of the posters are enjoying their own little efforts. Not very foreign at chowk.

No Kashmiri outfit is secular. Can`t be. Just like Jinnah wasn`t the moment he called for Pakistan. So let`s stop kidding ourselves.
